Danny Hutchinson's mother had died when he was very young, so for a long time it was just him and his father, Andrew. Then one day, Andrew met a lovely widower named Helena, who happened to have a daughter Danny's own age named Lisa. One thing had led to another from there.

When the adults married and became a blended family, Danny and Lisa then found themselves thrown together as stepsiblings.

Danny had quickly noticed just how attractive his new stepsister was. The fact that he was now living with such a beauty but she was technically family was something of a bittersweet blessing.

Lisa was so far apparently blissfully ignorant of his thoughts.

Helena, however, had noticed it. But she was not mad at all. In fact, she had an idea how it might bring them all closer. Thus, she and Andrew came up with an idea that they would each spend a week with each other's child before they started to officially live as a family. Andrew and Lisa would stay in the Hutchinson household, and Danny would stay with Helena in her old apartment, whose lease would be up at the end of the month.

Right now, Danny was waking up in Lisa's bed, rubbing his eyes.

He would awake to finding Helena sitting on the foot of the bed, a smile across her face. "Good morning, sweetie."

"Good morning," he said at that moment.

Still smiling, Helena inched forward and said, "Now, you and I will have a full six days to bond until we're officially living under the same roof. I intend to make the most of every moment of that time."
