Does anyone else feel this way?
Does anyone here besides me, sometimes feel like a child trapped inside an adult body?
Am I normal for feeling this way?
I don't know, sometimes I feel a little uncomfortable about it, but at the same time I've had a yearning to go back to my childhood to when I was a baby.

Thanks guys, after reading your responses, I feel less uncomfortable about myself, but I still hide it from friends, family, and my parents.
*sigh* Why can't people outside the ab/dl community understand people like us?
Why can't we ab'dl's be free to do what we want without other people bothering us about how "Adult babies and diaper lovers are so fucked up I feel so sorry for them!" or, "ADULT BABIES AND DIAPER LOVERS ARE CREEPY AND SHOULD DIE!1!1"
Stuff like that really pisses me off, and how people call ab/dl's "Adult Baby Syndrome" or, "Paraphilic infantilism" like being an ab/dl is a nasty disease, and how the media portrays us doesn't really help and just makes it worse for us. -_-
I hate having to be a closet ab/dl and hide it from everyone I know who isn't an ab/dl, yet at the same time, I feel like I have to because of how society wants us to be "normal".

Well I don't feel like a child trapped inside a adult so I guess I differ on that. Personally I just feel like someone who has their own style and choice of clothing.
But Normal? There is no normal. We're all psychotic diapers or not.

Silly Frosted. One must keep in mind, normal is what you surround yourself with. So long as you are here, you are normal.

I actually think more people than we are aware of are feeling this way. Think about it; how great it was being a child, the freedom of thought and conception you had, the survival-based security of being taken 100% care of while you were just running around in the world inquiring about this strange, wonderful new place you've just been landed in - and all the strange and fantastic things that were in it. And gradually this feeling of newness, of inquisitivness and of free thought is grinded away, little by little, all the while the responsibilities of the grown up domesticated primate (human) are increasing. A longing for this great time is inevitable, especially considering how the world we're growing up to to live in looks like: war, death, famine, aids, homeless, recession, depression etc.
But all we can do is make the most out of it. We can only try to feel happy and minimally adapted to this hostile and possibly oppressive world. For hey! There are some severely nice things here too.

I was thinking about this today. You know not just AB/DL people feel like this, you just have to look at shops that sell things like adult space hoppers and retro sweets, they boom in buisness because everyone, at some point or another wants to recapture their youth, Its why programs like bagpuss and fragglerock were released on DVD so people with inner children could satisfy their little side.
I have always felt like a kid, Always without exception, even on my wedding day I was heavily padded under my wedding dress. When I have to dress up smartly for job interviews or things like that I always feel like im a kid playing pretend dressing up in their parents clothing. I dont think i've ever really felt like a grown up. Which isn't a good thing to say.
Like everything, there needs to be a balance, its important to be able to be grown up when the time calls for it. I just don't seem to be able to manage it.
