Naruto had rushed back from his previous mission,having received a message while in the field,it was soaked so he had little clue what it said,all he knew is someone had died and left their child in his care. He wouldn't be back in time for the funeral,he had already missed it,but was quickly closing in on the village gate where he was supposed to meet with his "Daddy" and new charge.

Kakashi stood at the village gates with a young boy who was wearing a blue shirt and kaki shorts. He had only recently met the boy after his parents had been killed. He was waiting for his little boy to come and pick up his new little boy. He had smirked at the idea of it at first.

Naruto flipped out a tree and landed a few feet in front of the pair "Oi! Kakashi-Sensei!" he called waving like a nut

Kakashi giggled he lead the reluctant boy towards Naruto. "Energetic as always I see," he joked. "Naruto, say hello to...Sorry, what's your name again?"

"Sa...Sasuke," he stammered quietly.

"Ah,so your Itachi's little brother" Naruto said crouching down to his level "I'm Naruto,Naruto Uzamaki, the next hokage once Baa-Chan kicks the bucket or retires" he said holding out a hand to him "Nice to meet you Sasuke."

Sasuke reluctantly took Naruto's hand and shook it. He had gotten annoyed by the mention of his older brother, but he didn't say anything about it.

"So do you need anything from me before you take Sasuke home," Kakashi asked.

"Yeah...." Naruto said blushing a bit hoping Kakashi caught on "it was a long trip" he said as he stood upright and started walking for home "I ran out while I was in the field again,I gotta start listening to you better" he said with a chuckle

Kakashi chuckled as well, "Would you like me to take care of that," he asked, walking with them.

Sasuke followed close by, not understanding what the older men were talking about.

"That would be great,I got everything at home" Naruto said with a grin "So Sasuke,why don't you tell me about yourself,is there anything I need to know?"

Sasuke still didn't know what Naruto was talking about regarding his home. He shook his head at the blond's question. He did have a secret, but he didn't think Naruto would understand.

"No need to be shy Sasuke," Kakashi said. "You and Naruto have something in common you know."
