It was the first day of 9th grade for Bailey. This was a new school, and she was nervous. Bailey's life was pretty normal, she had 1 parent, she was short, long dark hair, green eyes, and a nice smile.

Walking into the school, she was wearing her school uniform, which consisted of a skirt, a shirt with a vest over it, and knee high socks. She carried her hello kitty lunch box with her. As the bell ring, she headed into her class. Bailey took the only seat left, the seat closest to the teacher's desk.

Ms. Lupin was sitting with her feet on top of her desk waiting for the class to calm down a little bit. She was reading through her traditional first day test she would be giving to her students with a smirk. She loved the way they always seemed to panic, thinking that there was no way they would know the material, but anyone who had attended middle school with the curriculum the district has would pass it easily.
Ms. Lupin sighed taking her legs off her desk standing "Good morning class!" she waited for the few responses to stop " Welcome to freshmen science, for many of you this will be a whole new coarse and it will be much different then any coarse you have ever taken at school before" as she talked she started handing out the tests eying Bailey for alot of the time. "For everyone else repeating it because you have failed one or more times...don't be too mean to the freshmen, you don't need to hurt there feelings" She said this in a joking way.
She talked like that for awhile longer introducing herself and talking about what they will be studying for the year "Now that test infront of you will cover everything you need to know in order to succeed in this class. It will not determine what I will be teaching you as a group, but if anyone fails there is a required three day camp they must attend where I will be covering everything." There was a few groans making Ms. Lupin smile " With that I will give you the rest of the class period, begin!"

Bailey looked down. The test looked foreign to her. She couldn't make out any of the questions of answers on the paper. Bailey was almost sweating from the preassure. After the time was up and the bell rang, Bailey stood up, and handed her paper to the teacher. She only answered 3 of the 30 problems, and 2 were right. bailey's head was down as she started to walk out of the class.

"Wait a moment..." She paused to look at the name on the paper "Baily, oh I have you next period for homeroom" Mrs. Lupin sounded almost to excited about that. there was a short homeroom class next, it came after 1st period for several reasons, most of it involving the students who made announcements or ran the student stores had missed homeroom a lot last year and therefor many of the changes to the school rules and other important announcements.
She didn't say anymore until the other students left the room "Well it is pretty uncommon for students to fail the test, so the camp is held at my house over this weekend" It was a three day weekend due to some national holiday Ms. Lupin didn't really care about (Like labor day) " I have a permission slip that will need to be signed by your guardian and there is also a list of things you will need to bring with you." she handed the packet over to Bailey leaning against the desk.

Bailey gathered her things together, and started to make her way out of the class, "Im..not going." she said turning around at the door. "I dont want to go to your "camp"

Ms. Lupin smirked "Oh really. Well because you failed this test you have two options, you go to my camp, where I give you hands on experience with what the rest of your peers know, or you get transferred out of my class and go to the "Science Support" class, where you will be relearning the very basics with Mr. Joyheart being tutored by middle school students in honors science classes" She then walked towards Baily "Don't forget you have me for homeroom, so I don't really advice leaving" as she said this other students started to nervously walk into her class taking there seats.

"I..okay." Bailey said. "I-im..sorry." Bailey said, returning to her desk. She looked down in worriness. Fidgeting in her desk.

Ms. Lupin saw the fidgeting and it made her smile, this was a full period today because it was the first day they would have to go over the handbook, she planed on making Baily suffer.
"Good morning class, I am Ms. Lupin, and as long as you are in this school you will be reporting to me for homeroom, so lets like each other now so we aren't trying to rip each others throats out by the time your are seniors." She then went on to the handbook, which she was required to read, each and every rule inside of it. She wasnt surprised when half of the students where doodling or looking into space she kept going anyways.

Bailey didn't pay attention to Ms. Lupin. She just sat in her chair, drawing a picture. She was still afraid of Ms. Lupin, but she tried not to show it.

Once no one was really listening Ms. Lupin slammed the handbook down trying to get everyone's attention "So who can tell me something about that last rule I read to you all?" She asked started to pace across the front of the room into the scared eyes of her students. She met eyes with Bailey then said "Okay how about you, Bailey" she said standing over her looking down.
