Sora was crying. You'd wouldn't have thought about it from Sora, you'd think these were tears of joy, but they were really tears of anguish and sorrow. Why was he crying? Well, his mother didn't remember him, his father was dead, and he had over heard a conversation between Kairi and Riku that implied a romantic relationship between them.

Life just liked screwing with him, he had saved the worlds twice, and the girl he thought loved him, really loved his best friend. He just couldn't take it any more, as he called in a favour from Donald and Goofy to take him somewhere else rather than spending his days in the houses on his, Riku's and Kairi's small island. Too many hurtful memories.

He eventually arrived at Hollow Bastion, or rather, Radiant Garden as it was called now. They had mostly driven out the heartless, but Sora didn't care about that at the moment. He went to the one place he thought he could find people to talk to about his problems. Merlin's house. However, no one was there, and he didn't know that most of the Committee had moved to the castle in the centre of the town. Sora just gave up, there was no point in it all, why did he want to use the keyblade any-more if he just kept getting screwed over by life, as he went into the alleyway next to Merlin's house, and broke down against the wall and started crying again. It just wasn't fair.

A woman with long brown hair was headed back to Merlin's house. Tifa Lockheart had moved in at the castle with the Committee and her boyfriend, Cloud, but was coming to get the rest of her things from their old base of operations. As she passed the entrance to the alleyway, she heard rough sobbing and stopped, looking down the alley and taking notice of the brown-haired boy.

Sora heard footsteps, and looked down the alleyway entrance to see Tifa. If Tifa cared to look, she would see his eyes were puffy and red from crying so much, and his expression seemed like he was broken in spirit. He hiccuped a few times before sniffling. He definately needed a hug, and he was visibly shaking. There was even a small puddle around him, that kind of smelled and looked a bit yellowish. Oh dear, what had happened to him to put him in a state like this.

Of course Tifa had noticed these things, and dashed into the alleyway with her possessions long forgotten. She knelt down next to the child and carefully placed an arm around him. "Sora? Oh my gosh, it is you! Sora, what happened?" She cupped Sora's cheek and turned his face towards hers.

Sora's response was full of blubbering and hiccups, he couldn't form a straight answer, but he seemed distraught. He literally clung to her, sobbing into her shoulder. This was really concerning. "Momma...*hic*...doesn't...*hic*...remember...*hic *...me...Dad's...*hic*...dead...*hic*" Sora attempted to say, hiccuping a lot due to crying so much. "And Kairi's going out with Riku and don't talk to me as much!" Sora said, clinging tightly to Tifa, not wanting to let go.

There was more to this than those simple things to dull Sora's happy spirit, considering his ordeals over the years, it's not a surprise he finally broke down.

Tifa stood up, picking the child up with her. "Oh gosh, you poor thing! So I'm guessing you ran off? Well, let's head to the castle and get you cleaned up, alright? A bath and some hot cocoa sound nice right about now."

"O-okay" Sora hiccuped, snuggling into Tifa's arms like a little infant, as he let himself be carried to the castle. He felt safe in her arms, like safe from the world, it was a nice feeling.

Tifa looked down at the boy and her heart nearly melted. The child had obviously been through too much for someone his age. They walked in the back door of the castle, taking a few empty hallways to the thirteenth floor, which was mostly unused. "Here we go." she said, walking into the large bathroom. "Do you think you can bathe yourself, Sora, or do you want me to help you?"

"I-I don't know..." Sora said, feeling quite weak from being dehydrated due to crying so long. Part of him wanted to be independent, but another part wanted him to let Tifa take care of him.

Tifa set him gently down on a towel and turned to the tub, running a warm bath. She smiled to herself as she added a capful of bubbles, and looked around at the various bath toys strewn everywhere. The previous tenant must have been a small child, or someone extremely childish. She picked up a rubber duck and handed it to Sora. "Here, sweetie. You play while I run your bath and find you some clean clothes, okay?"
