Super Secret Identities(private rp for shadow king.)

Two people who meet by chance end up with superpowers and must keep them secret. The day starts as any normal day would in the sleepy and well populated suburb of Xion. It is located somewhere in the middle of nowhere compared to all the major hustle and bustle. However it makes up for being out of the way by being the birthplace of random heroes and also villains. Rumors circulate over the lack of pollution combined with strange moon cycles and who knows what else. The story begins with our eventual heroes simply getting ready for their jobs and getting through traffic to arrive on time.

Christian got up in the morning lazily. As the average college student would he detested his early morning class at eight. He rolled over lazily so that he was on the edge of his bed, almost on the verge of falling off. He then rolled his legs off the warm cushioned surface of the safe haven called his bed and, landing on his feet stood up and stretched.

He rubbed the sleep from his eyes and began walking toward the bathroom of his quaint one bed one bath apartment. As he never slept clothed, even in winter, he simply walked in, turned on the shower and got it to the right temperature (hot) and slipped in. He cscrubbed himself down thoroughly before rinsing off and hopping out. He quickly dried off and brushed his hair back before going back to his bedroom to throw on a pair of black jeans and a long sleeved button up shirt. He rolled up the cuffs of his shirt and put on his silver ring before grabbing his wallet, keys, phone and backpack and heading out the door.

One would expect that Xion, being out in the middle of nowhere wouldn't have bad traffic, but as it would turn out the drive to campus every day was always quite dreadful. Currently Christian was sitting on a deadlocked highway that was moving maybe ten feet a minute if that and class was going to start in about a half hour.

Serena Valdez is as usual up early to get ready for her job which gives her the freedom to work from home when there are no deadlines. She grabs a quick showe as she is waiting for her computer to boot up and she has all of her clothes for the day. She finishes cleaning every square inch of her body and hurries to get dressed as she is due to check in for the day via her computer. She breathes a sigh of relief she is presentable for the start of her day and smiles when the facetime software works.

Her bosses along with her coworkers welcome her a good day of work at one of the leading teach firms in the city. She begins to send over the specifications for her part of the latest project of which is hush hush other a select few. The basic description explains they are attempting to create tech which will make the sick more healthy with the help of local medical staff and this will lead to doctors helping more people.

Despite the traffic Christian was able to make it to his class on programming in time. It was a good thing too as he had to turn in a programming project that he had been spending time on for a month. Christian was quite the programmer when he put some effort into it. For the project he had decided to take a simple but highly destructive computer virus and make an antivirus for it.

The unfortunate thing was that if it didn't work when his professor would check it to grade him it could possibly spread the virus throughout the town pretty much bringing down the computer systems for about two days.

He had spent quite some time creating this antivirus and was pretty sure that it would work but he hadn't dared actualy try it on his own computer.

Serena continues to help her bosses to finalize the project and they are waiting on the last parts of the devices. She waits while the systems boot up to process the large amounts of data and the machines begin to whir with activity. Serena is the quality assurance lead who is charge of all of the security and privacy around the devices. If they were to be stolen there would be mass chaos, as they can be coopted to make people sick and/or out cold while the baddies take over.

Fortunately nothing has gone awry, at least for now, however, Serena knows from experience anything can and will happen if you get sloopy with mistakes by not planning for every possible outcome in the long run. Serena continues to check machine to ensure they are running at peak performance as they processes are run and the many bits of data are combined into one homogenious mix.

Shortly after class the professor went to his campus computer and set up all the antivirus programs he could put on it. He had put this project in motion too many times to not know the dangers of letting students create antiviruses for certain viruses. He went and tried each of the six (it was a pretty high level and small class), Christian's being last.

By this point Christian was simply sitting in a lounge area waiting for his next class. It was about twenty minutes into this that it happened, the lights went out. The power to the campus had shut off, and by the looks of it it wasn't just campus, it was spreading. 'Oh god' he thought to himself. 'The antivirus probably failed.' He immediately understood why he shouldn't have tried to overachieve with that dangerous computer virus.

The power for the city seemed to have gone out and when Christian tried to log into any of the computers they all seemed to be down. All that would show on the screen was a simple red X that he couldn;t seem to get rid of on any of the computers.

Serena begins to sweat profusely as the lights and power go off briefly in the building. Fortunately the industrial generators keep the computers along with the project running problem free but noone in the building knows of what is happening outside in the city wide area. There is random people panicking as they have no way to use any technology involving computers, power is limited to generators, and the emergency services are doing their best to get people out of dangerous areas including trains&planes. Meanwhile Serena bosses have given her praise for ensuring everything has run smoothly thanks to their many backup plans, and they still have no clue as to what is/might be happening outside of the building do their deadlines on every part of the projects they have piled up to finish.

Christian knew that there was little he could do about this development. If his antivirus had failed then he had no other real ideas of what to do about it. Despite this on his way out of the building he was in a man wearing a black suit and white shirt walked up to him. "Are you Christian Izis?" he asked Christian point blank.

"And if I am?" Christian replied.

"Then we will be taking you in to help solve the problem you caused." the man said before firmly putting a hand on Christian's shoulder and rather forcefully leading him to the exit where a plain black sedan was waiting, its windows were tinted. It was at that point that Christian knew he had gotten himself in deep.

((OOC: Don't know how you intend for our characters to meet but I thought that this may be an interesting way to do it...))

(I was thinking they could drive you to Serena's building as the projects have many funders and those include some international&government ones.) Serena continues to work with the increasing amounts of employees who assist her bosses in bringing the projects to fruition. She is hopefully everything comes full circle, as many are counting on their success, and she intends to do so. Her bosses pat her on the shoulders as she they hand Serena a folder which she works on entering the data for, then hands it back, and doesn't even look up due to being under pressure to get everything done on time. She only stops to have a few sips of coffeee as she works, then continues to work, and she notices a new person has been escorted into the building whom she has no clue as to his origins.

Christian was escorted into a building that he had no idea about. Not to mention the tense atmosphere from being brought here by what seemed to be a government agent. He looked around the space as he was again sternly led to a desk where a woman was sitting. She had just been visited by someone and handed a file.

She had just started typing when the agent approached her basically forcing Christian to follow. "Hello Serena, I brought you a new work partner." said the agent shoving Christian forward. "His name is Christian Izis, He is the student that caused this mess." he added pointing outside,
