St. Anthony Institute for Disabled Children (Private for White Heart)

An old Victorian building in a remote location, now stands re-fit to serve as an institute for mentally and physically handicapped children who need special care and were left alone by their parents.
The pale yellow walls and the red tile roof make the building look noble, and usually sounds of children fill the air around it. However, one should also make note of the high fence around the property, with CCTV cameras on each pole, and on the building, inside and outside.
The Institute has two wings and a central section. Also, built after the re-fit, an indoor swimming pool for hydrotherapy sessions, a gym for physiotherapy, and the staff quarters.
The left wing is the minimum security department. Here, children with light disabilities are housed, those who need no continuous care and supervision. They are allowed to walk freely from 8AM to 6PM, and use the playground equipped with child-safe toys, or in summer, the outer pool - though the later always has at least one nurse as supervisor.
The right wing is the high security department, for children with serious issues, and tendencies to harm themselves, or others. Severe autism, paranoia, maniacal depression, such are the tickets to here. Patients are always supervised, sometimes assigned personal caretakers from the staff, and they spend a lot of time in restraints. This facility also has a playground, but that can be used only under strict supervision.
The central section contains the examination rooms, administration offices, medical equipment, laboratory, and storage rooms.

The Director is Matthew Bradock M.D., a strict man in his thirties, who has absolute authority over the Institute. He personally oversees any ongoing treatments and examinations, as well as the Institute finances.
As most important men, he has a dark secret: the high security wing will accept children with no actual disabilities, for a hefty fee: ideal for greedy people with no morals to lock up the kids of their recently deceased rich relatives, to get hold of the heritage.

Akari was a weak girl at 7 years old. She had a rare disease that affected her severely, but her medication kept her in stable condition most of the time. The sweet, loveable girl walked around the hall happily, glad that she wasn't bound to her wheelchair for the first time in a week.

Nurse Susan Yates walked the hallway overseeing the kids of the minimum security wing. As usual, she was wearing her nurse uniform and kept her hair in a ponytail. She really didn't like her brunette locks getting in the way during work hours, and this hairstyle offered the perfect solution for that.

She always paid a lot of attention, usually to those who needed caring the most. Her colleagues often joked about her patience and kindness, rumoring she could model for the Statue of Kindness.
For her, it was only her job.

She quickly noticed Akari, the 7-year-old who had SMA III. Luckily for her, the stem cell injections she recently received seemed to work, allowing her to walk again - though she'd probably never be as strong as a healthy child, and would easily get exhausted. But, she walked, and that was a huge success.

- Good morning, Akari. - she smiled, coming near the young patient.
- I see you finally got up. How does it feel, walking once again? - she asked kindly, leaning down to the girl

Akari looked up at Susan with a weak smile. "Really good!" She said happily, her voice slightly hoarse. She also had an asthmatic-type illness and a few assorted problems, but her medicine helped her much. She coughed a little, but was fine.

Susan nodded at the girl's answer, still being a little surprised about her fast recovery. The stem cell treatment was still experimental only, and a lot of states didn't even approve it yet. But nonetheless, it worked.
Not unlike she didn't have enough troubles. As someone pointed out, "She takes so many pills they'd do for a whole meal", which was definitely exxaggerative, but still wasn't too far from the truth. Vitamin pills, asthma meds, anti-allergics...
- Good to hear that. I've been looking for you, by the way, you know you have a physiotherapy session in half an hour. Dr. Bradock doesn't like anyone being late, especially that he's really interested how much strength and control you have regained. You need to be in the gym wearing your leotard in thirty minutes. - she pointed out.
Now that her motoric nerves were functioning properly again, she needed to regain some muscle strength - her rehabilitation just began.
- Do you need help getting changed? - Sue knew dressing might still be challenging for her in her current state. But that's what she was there for: to help

"I would like help." Akari said, losing balance for a split-second. She smiled brightly and reached for Susan's hand, her diaper crinkling some.

- All right - Susan nodded and took her hand. "She still has balance issues" - she thought to herself as they walked towards the girl's quarters on the ground floor - she was moved there so she wouldn't need to climb stairs.
- Do you need your diaper changed too? - she asked as she opened the door and let her in. Waiting for the answer, Susan fetched Akari's pink leotard from the closet and laid it out on her bed.
- Dr. Braddock says you might be able to switch to trainers soon. - she mentioned as she started undressing Akari. The Doc did mention she could regain some rectal control, but her bladder will most probably be an issue for the rest of her life.
- Provided you pay attention to your gymnastics exercises. - she added, as Akari still needed to train her perineum muscles to re-establish control.

"I think I'm.. a little messy..." Akari admitted with a blush. The little girl fidgeted as she realized she was in fact messy, biting her lip.

Kara, a 11-year old girl, walked to the TV room with her arm in a sling. She was recently admitted to get her out of her abusive household. Her father had broken her arm a couple nights prior to her being signed in, and she was coping with depression.

Susan just smiled at her.
- It's no problem, Akari, it happens. Like I said, soon you'll be able to hold it, if all goes well, and then you can wear trainers. Now let me take care of this quickly. - she winked and took the child's clothes off before carefully picking her up and laying her on the changing table. With quick and skilled moves, she opened the tapes on the side and removed the messy diaper, before gently wiping her clean with wet wipes. After that, she opened a clean diaper and slid it under her bum, and after applying a generous amount of baby powder, taped it up snugly.
- There you go. Now, let's get you in your leotard.
- she tickled her a tiny bit, then helped her into the pink short sleeved leotard. It was, as expected, tight-fitting, and cutely showed the diaper bulge on both the front and back.
- You look so cute... - she giggled as she set the girl down, back on her feet.
- Come on, the trainer's waiting for you. - she added, offering a hand.

Helen Bates, a blonde nurse in her early 30s, watched Kara from a distance. Dr. Braddock ordered the supervision, as it was known that she came from an abusive father, and showed signs of post-traumatic stress syndrome and depression. Nothing expressed her father's abusive behavior more than the cast on her left arm. Kids like her always needed a lot of caring, and often suffered of bedwetting. Helen only hoped she learned that she could always ask of she wanted help... all the nurses were trying hard to be as kind and careful as it was possible, to troubled patients, and in general.

Akari was still as she was changed, giggling at the tickle when it was finished. As she was dressed in her leotard, she grinned, taking Susan's hand.

Kara carefully laid on the couch and stared at the TV, biting her lip as she got comfortable.
