A series of fiends had come down the main path on Besaid Island, and Yuna, Rikku, Paine, Tidus, Lulu, Wakka and Vidina had just been going for a hike. When the fiends approached, all except Wakka (he still had to keep Vidina safe) got into fighting positions. The battle was quite easily won, but there was an attack that knocked Yuna, Rikku and Paine unconscious.

The hostel had been offered up as a makeshift infirmary for the girls. Tidus paced back and forth outside the curtained off threshold to the inner-room where Lulu was tentatively checking over their bodies and washing their cuts and scrapes. The girls had been knockout before but neither the less Tidus was worried. Spira had prospered without present turmoil and although he was glad Yuna's adventure with the Gullwings had lead her to him, he'd rather hoped settling down at Besaid marked the end of Yuna's adventuring and putting herself in danger. Maybe it was just his old guardian habits making him edgy? Yuna was tough, she would be fine, the others too? Or so he hoped, now he kind of wished he believed in Yevon and could seek Wakka's Gods for guidance.

Beyond the curtain Paine was the first to stirr, her hazel eyes fluttering awake but misty with confusion. A little moaning sound escaping her lips pulled Lulu's attention away from tending Rikku and she was instantly by Paine's side.

"It's good to see you're awake. How do you feel?" She asked in her inately soft and caring tones. She reached for a jug on the beside table and began pouring some water into a shell cup for Paine to drink.

Paine did not answer Lulu's questions. She followed the movement of the woman, blinked and then started to cry feeling confused and afraid with her present situation, aware that something wasn't as it should be but uncertain of what.

Lulu called out to Tidus, trying to restrain the young woman who was now failing and kicking.
"Tidus! Tidus, bring me a potion and then hold her down while I cast sleep. I think she's still in pain."

Yuna and Rikku suddenly woke and a trickle of urine spilled over onto their sheets, and they started crying. Vidina was presently napping, so Wakka was there to help, bring potions. "Uh, Lu? What's going on?" Yuna and Rikku flailed their arms and legs down like infants, wailing at the top of their lungs. Wakka tried to hold them in place while Lulu cast sleep on all three. Rikku kicked Wakka hard in the chest and knocked the wind out of him.

Lulu spun around at the sound of her husband's voice, panic clearly etched into her eyes wide like a startled chocaboo's. "I-I don't know." she declared over the awful wailing. Then her eyes narrowed as her will focused, "Sleepaga!" she yelled, the once powerful blackmage casting sleep over everyone in the room. She stumbled, leaning against the bed side for a moment while she recovered from the dizziness and then she gentled shook Waka and Tidus awake. It was quite now, all of the girls were sleeping.

"I'm sorry about that but I couldn't deal with that all that wailing, it was worse than when Vidina was born. As for what's wrong with them, I have no idea. " She cast her gaze back to the beds, her thin lips pinched at the sight of the wet sheets caused by Yuna and Rikku inexplicably wetting themselves, though she was also reminded off the fact the trio was naked, Lulu having been in the process of washing them with a damp cloth before they'd woken up. She forcefully guided the two men out of the room and beyond the curtain again for privacy's sake before resuming the conversation.

"Tidius, you were fighting too. Did you notice anything odd about the fiend which attacked us?"
"No, I don't think so. It was just a Malbro, we've fought them on that track before." The blond haired young man answered shaking his head and wishing he'd actually spent more attention to creature during the fight, he didn't think it was any different from any other Malbro. “Are they in pain Lulu? What can we do to help them?” Tidus gestured expansively with his arms. He was concerned, Yuna was his soulmate, he loved her, he knew everything about her. They had fought in battles together in the past and recently they had gotten the chance to live together peacefully and enjoy each other's company. They had even started sleeping together, so he had seen her naked before but he'd never seen her urinate before or fail around madly like that. It hurt his heart to know that there was something wrong with her and he just want to be able to help.

"Tidus, it'll be okay, we'll think of something.” Lulu placed a comforting hand on his shoulder and then took the potion from his hands before she issued more commands, she was got at taking charge. “Waka, can you go and get all of Vidina's supplies from the house? If we're going to watch over the girls then he we may all have to stay here for the night. Tidus, please watch Vidina until I Waka gets back. I'm just going to tend to girls and you can see Yuna afterwards. Okay?” Lulu went back into the infirmary and dealt with all the practical issues at hand. She had to strip off two sets of sheets and replace them without waking the sleeping girls, then she got them all dressed again so the boys would be able to come in and watch them, at least this part was made easier by just activating their default dress spheres. By the time she was finished she was feeling the familiar exertion that she had felt when first birthing Vidina, so she told herself to deliberately take her times with things and not push herself to the point of exhaustion, since then she would be no good to anyone. Waka was back when she left the infirmary and Tidius was waiting like an anxious little dog. She gave him a nod and he hurried through the curtain to see Yuna.


“I'm going to the temple to see if there are any monster records that match up to malbro we fought, you'll be able to take care of things here right?” she took Vidina from Waka's arms and tentatively kissed him on the forehead, “You be a good boy for Daddy.” Then she passed him back and left for the temple.

Vidina smiled and Wakka hugged him tight. "Wanna watch Daddy bounce a blitzball on his head again?" Vidina nodded, and Wakka began doing so. Yuna, Rikku and Paine were sleeping peacefully. When Tidus put his hand in Yuna's, she did grab onto it, appearing that the connection between them was still there. Someone at the temple saw Lulu looking over the books in the library. "This might match what you're looking for. There have been legends of fiends that can cast regression magic with their attacks. Turns their victims infantile."

"Infantile?" Lulu questioned speculatively, it sounded incredulous but after quelling her doubts and glancing down at the open tome she found the old illustration scrawled across the pages did indeed bear a likeness to the creature they had fought. She gratefully accepted the book from him and began pouring through it. She wondered how the stranger had known about the girls condition but now that she thought about it, it did sound like like the girls were displaying symptoms of being infantile. Could it explain why Yuna and Rikku had wet themselves?

She spoke briefly with the temple's high priest, as a prominent Besaid citizen she was able to convince him to allow her to borrow the tome. She would continue to read over it until she could find some kind of cure for the girls, but right now she wanted to get back to check on Vidina.

"Hi precious." she said accepting him off Waka when she returned to the hostel, "Oh, someone is grumpy because they have a wet diaper don't they?" She gave Wakka a half menacing glare, he should have been on the ball with that one. While she changed Vidina she indicated the book out to Wakka and explained as best as she understood about this ancient and mysterious regression magic. "At the moment I don't know how we can help them, I'll have to do more research. However the good news is that I don't think they are in any pain, in fact I'm not sure they even understand what's happened to them, the text seems to suggest they actually believe they are infants..." Lulu paused, she had finished changing Vidine and tickled his belly affectionately before dressing him again. "Maybe it would be least stressful for them if we treated them like infants?" she suggested after a moment of deliberation. Plus it would be more confidant as far as taking practical care of them, she thought of wet sheets again.

Tidus had spent the entire time sitting beside Yuna's bed clutching her hand. "Yuna, please get better, I don't want to be without you."

Vidina smiled when he was in a dry diaper, and began rooting, which prompted Lulu to begin nursing him. "You mean, diapers, feedings and everything?!" Wakka said incredulously. "I'm happy to be the one to help change Vidina, but three girls who are not much younger than you? No way! Besides, I don't think it's that serious, ya?" Yuna groaned and suddenly voided her bowels.

Lulu frowned, Vidina clutched against her breast and nursing oblivious, she was annoyed that Wakka doubted her but then again Wakka always was a little slow catching up to things logically, he would come around. Then as if to illustrate her point Tidus came bursting through the curtains his face flushed with embarrassment.
"Yuna.. She ah, well she just messed herself!" he was clearly distressed, not yet informed of the regression magic and unsure of what to do but Lulu was busy nursing Vidina so she couldn't help right now or the baby would get fussy. "Oh dear." she exclaimed sympathetically, "Waka can you go and help him clean her up? I guess in their present condition modesty can be dismissed." From the next room the girls could now be heard crying again haven woken up.

Tidus tactfully grabbed the cloth and water used for cleaning up Vidina's bottom when he was was messy. He was very reluctant about having to wipe clean his girlfriend's messy bottom but he was devoted to her and would do anything. He was still confused though and asked Waka if Lulu had discovered anything at the temple.

Wakka sighed as he began helping Tidus clean Yuna. "She claims that the Marlboro turned them into infant-minded girls. As in a baby's brain in an adult body, ya?" Yuna remained asleep but whimpered as she was cleaned. Wakka took one buttock while Tidus did the other. "Oh, Yevon, this is quite a nasty!" Wakka then put a clean diaper on Yuna. Rikku had messed herself as well, and it was quite stinky. Vidina was still feeding and couldn't be put down, especially when he suckled powerfully like a wind attack.

With the stress of everything which had been going on today Lulu found the chance to recline and breastfeed her child soothed her greatly. The greedy tyke could make her sensitive nipples quite tender but ultimately she found expressing milk for him was bonding and relaxing for her. As she continued to let him suckle rocking Vindina gently, hoping he would fall asleep and at least she would have one less problem to worry about, she wondered about the trio of girls in the next room. How old did they think they were? Probably young enough to still need diapers as Wakka had suggested, as ludicrous as that sounded, but would they be able to walk or talk or feed themselves. Having a total of four babies to look after might be more than Lulu could manage, even with the boy's help. The girls did need help though, so she would do what she could for they. They had done so much for Spira after all, they probably had a lot of friends who would want to help.

In the next room the boys had finished clearing off Yuna and had changed her dress sphere to some nightwear since it seemed the girls were likely to be bedridden for as long as the illness persisted. Well Wakka changed the dress sphere whilst Tidus soothingly stroked the forehead of the now awake and claiming down Yuna, Tidus still wasn't used to dress spheres he preferred normal clothes. He had to leave Yuna's side for a while though because Rikku had soiled herself as well so Wakka needed help. Hopefully Paine, who had woken and was amused playing with the tassels on her warrior costume, wouldn't also have an accident. Where they accidents or were they doing it deliberately because their infant minds told them to? was there a difference? Tidus didn't know.
"I guess they really are just babies inside but are there adult selves still in there as well? Can we get them back to being themselves?"
