RP Diapers vs the Real Thing

As I have recently been browsing the forums a lot, I've noticed variation on the way RPs treat toddler's diapers and pull ups, versus how people say they perform in the real world. In most RPs, child diapers and pull-ups can take a full adult mess and not leak or tear, while real reviews of Pampers size 6 say that you have to staple diapers together with a staple gun so they don't fall off while being used. This also seems to be true with adult diapers. As I have no experience using these diapers, can someone who has tested this provide insight into the more accurate viewpoint?
