She walked into the small auditorium with her friends. It wasn't anything fancy, but they definitely made due with what they had. It was pretty, with a large chandelier above their head, and big fancy curtains in front of the stage. What was more surprising, they were the only ones there. Were they early or something? They've heard so much about the hypnotist show, but this turnout was pitiful.
Eager to see what she paid 15 bucks for and hoping it wasn't a waste of money, she sat down in the front seat, talking with her friends about their week.

About fifteen minutes passed, and more people began to show, filling up the chairs with a large crowd of people. It seemed that a lot of people were excited about this show, and everyone wanted to see if it actually worked. Soon a spotlight came on stage, and out stepped a man, maybe around age 21. He wore dark clothes, and had a mysterious look on his face, as well as a top hat. He had a confident aura around him, as he walked out and took the microphone. "Hello everyone, and welcome to the show. Before we begin, did everyone sign the liabilities wavers? I'll need a few very willing people to come up throughout the show to be hypnotized. Don't worry though, hypnosis is completely natural, and many people come out feeling like they just had a full nights rest." He had dark hair, and no facial hair. He wore gloves, and the edge of a golden chain seemed to peak out of his suits pocket.

Of course, there was a resounding yes from the audience, all of whom were there to see if it were real.
"man, it's hypnosis, everyone knows it's not real, just for a good show." She murmured.
Lisa, though, was mesmerized by the mysterious man before her. She may not have believed hypnotism was real, but she sure could see that this was a good actor.

He nodded and smiled, looking out at the crowd, spotting Lisa instantly. Smiling, he thought, "She'll do." He then said, "Now for my first trick, I will need a volunteer. How about you sir," He said, picking a random man in the audience to come up. "Tell me sir, do you believe in hypnosis?" He had a feeling that no one really believed in it, that would have to change.

She noticed the glance toward her, and had almost gotten up expecting her to be picked.
Then the guy a few rows behind her was chosen, and she felt a bit dejected and sat back down as her friends snickered at her.
Her face a bit red, and flustered, she sat back in her chair and watched the show.

"Course not," The man grunted. He was an older man, maybe fifty, wearing a suit and tie.

"We'll have to change that," The hypnotist said with a smile, pulling out his stopwatch, and opening it. "Just stare at the watch, listen to the ticking, watch as it moves back and forth, your getting tired, very tired."

The man's eyes had begun to flutter, but they turned a little grey, loosing life as he watched the watch.

"Now, when I snap my fingers, I want you to fall asleep. Still standing and listening, but completely asleep." He then snapped his fingers, and the man's eyes shut tight.

She looked on curiously, what had happened to the mans eyes? Did they.. turn grey?
Must've been a trick of the lights, she rationalized. Watching the performance, she was still pretty adamant that this was just staged.
(Sorry, I'm not entirely sure what to do currently other than show my characters observations at this moment >.<)

The hypnotist smirked and said, "Now, I want you to flap your arms like a chicken, and squawk."

The man instantly obeyed, running around the stage, flapping his arms, and making weird sounds.

The hypnotist smirked and said, "Now I can tell some of you don't believe this is real. So to prove this isn't rehearsed, can I have someone from the audience come up too. Don't worry, you won't be hypnotised, not now anyway." He pointed at Lisa, smiling. "Here, young lady, why don't you come on up."

Laughing at how stupid the guy onstage looked, she was surprised to be called up.
She was nervous, but she knew that it was all for show, so she didn't have anything to worry about anyway.
She moved up to the stage, and stood next to the chicken man, saying halfheartedly, trying to seem cool headed "what's up?"

The man smiled and said, "Nothing much, just hypnotising this guy into acting like a chicken. But I sense that you don't believe this is real. That this man is just an actor. What would it take for him to do for you to truly believe that all this is real? Also, if you don't mind me asking, what is your name?"
