Neko Runaway

Sara, a 10 year old neko girl runaway from her home and her 5 baby siblings and mother, all to make life easier for her mom, who was only able to care for her kittens and knew Sara was having trouble and so had given her up. Sara made her way to a human city and stayed out of the public view until she reached a shop that sold nekos like her. Sara took a deep breath and got a worker's attention and volunteered to be sold as a slave or pet. Sara was given her vaccinations which made the neko girl cry from pain a bit and was fitted with a temporary collar until some lucky human saw need to buy her from the shop or until she was put down.

Sara was placed into a two section kennel so that she could get some exercise and hopefully attract the attention of a human to buy her and take her home to put her to work or anything else. Sara got settled into her kennel, the kennels of the shop and their occupants were visible from the rest of the mall outside and so could be easier to identify by workers when people chose to take them home. Sara made a poor figure, she was underweight, malnourished, and a bit dirty, and her description put up by a worker was listed as stray. Sara got settled onto the bed and looked at the people going around the mall, it was so big to her, and it was so beautiful, decked for the holiday, christmas as the humans called it.

But to Sara it meant little, it was her first time away from home, and she was slightly sad, but she knew it was for the best, and it meant her siblings would survive. If a man or woman picked her out than it meant Sara too would be taken care of until her dying day, or not depending on the person who bought her.

Jackob hums a tune as he enters the pet store "hello anyone here/"

A female worker at the front desk looks up at the man "yes sir, welcome to the Furry Friends pet store, which of our manager has your interest?" she asks getting up from her seat.

'well, i wanna get a neko to keep me company'

"Ah, well you've come to right place, we have all types of hybrids, though our nekos are most popular, follow me" she says as she takes Jackob to the kennels.

he smiles and follows her 'hybrids?"

"Mixes between humans and animals like cats or dogs" the woman says

"hmmmmmmmm and how mucha re they?"

[Zhaya Curze]

"For breeders, usually a thousand dollars for the purebreds and their supplies, but the mixes like Sara here are usually between 6 and 7 hundred dollars" she says.
