Pinkie sighed deeply, today just hadn't been her day. I fact when she worked there had been hardly any business in the first time in literally forever. To boot nopony even responded to her party invitations, and she tore her favorite panties! Right now she wore a skirt, cotton panties, and a standard tee without a bra, figuring her was only going across town so it wouldn't matter. There was only one thing she could take comfort in right now, and that was seeing her fillyfriend, hopefully she'd have a way make her happy again.

Slowly she knocked on the door, just a courtesy before unlocking it and entering, being after hours. "Hey Twilight I stopped by for a bit!" She yelled up the stairs before slipping over to sit on the couch with a bit of a huff, feeling that little bit of depression creep in for some reason unknown. She hated being depressed, it was no fun at all. In fact it made her frown! And that was certainly a no-no for the bubbly mare.

Twilight Sparkle heard her marefriend downstairs. It'd been a day or so since they had seen each other and been able to hug or kiss the other. She giggled as she used her magic to teleport on top of Pinkie and hugged her tightly. "Hey Pinkie! I missed you!" She said, greeting her now with a deep kiss.

Pinkie brightened a little at the sight of her marefriend, yet she still let out a surprised squeak when Twilight appeared above her and caught her in the most passionate kiss they'd ever had. Slowly though the kiss ended, leaving her smiling a bit brighter now. "Heya Twilight! I missed you too!" She said in a peppy mood, but one thing that was quite clear was that tremble in her voice. Seeing her marefriend made things seem better, but at the same time both the day and the week had still made her a sad filly.

Twilight hugged her tight and giggled with Pinkie. She heard the wavering in Pinkie's voice which was never a good thing. Last time she was like this she had a happy relapse where she was depressed for a few days and didn't even get out of bed save for bathroom trips. "Pinkie?" She asked, looking into her marefriend's eyes. "What's wrong? You seem a bit upset about something."

Pinkie should have known she wasn't going to be able to hide something like that from the pony that cared about her. Instead she sighed. "It's just this week hasn't been good for me, the stores so slow, all our friends are busy, there are no parties for me to throw, and I never get to see my Twilight!" She said with a deep huff. "I just want to be that carefree pony again Twilight!" She said, her head sinking slowly.

Twilight frowned as Pinkie described her symptoms. "Well you've got me now, doesn't that mean you can't be happy. Is there anything else bothering you Pinkie?" She asked, wanting to make sure that there wasn't any other symptoms of depression. Pinkie might just be going through a rough spot and she'd be there to help.

Pinkie sighed deeply at that, slowly nodding her head in shame. "Yeah, I don't now why but y heart doesn't feel all super-duper happy anymore. I mean I have everypony and you! But I just feel... sad." She admitted with a sigh. It wasn't as bad as when the party happened, but it was certainly more than just a hilly spot. "What should I do Twilight? I just don't want all this responsibility anymore, I want to play and have fun again."

Twilight was relieved that Pinkie didn't seem to have the signs of depression, but a milder form where everything was just as unenjoyable and miserable. They would still be able to interact with most ponies however. "Hmm..." Twilight thought to herself. "Well I'm not sure. But I know one of my books will know! I think you have a mild depressive disorder called dysthymia. Help me find a therapy book or something along those lines."

Pinkie smiled a little, slipping up from the couch, she missed her marefriend calm and bookish nature, it kept her balanced. Plus just the fact that she was trying to help. Although Pinkie being Pinkie found it instantly. Hey here's one Twi-pie!" She said holding up one labeles as Dysthymia: Treatment and Explanation. "There isn't anything really wrong with me is there Twilight?" She said, looking up with big sad eyes.

Twilight smiled as Pinkie seemed to be feeling better. It was a small step, but every little step helped. She started to look around, only to realize that Pinkie had already found the book that she was looking for. "That's the exact one we need. GOod job Pinkie!" She said, sitting down and opening the book and looked up to see Pinkie. "There's nothing wrong with you Pinkie. Everyone gets sad sometimes, and sometimes others just get sad for longer periods of time." She said, starting to skim through the book. She skipped to the treatment for something that could be started immediately. Twilight read something about regression therapy that seemed to be a good starting point. "Ok I've got something. Pinkie how do you feel about diapers?"
