The Temple of Youth (Private)

For centuries it has been said to be the existence of a grand magic fountain, containing within the secret waters that would grant the drinker their youth. For centuries people have searched for it, and failed. But with each search, the legend grew.

Now, someone has come forth claiming to know the location of the fountain, but unable to claim it alone. Reaching out to the best explorers in the field, he has promised a kings reward and a drink to the group who can find and claim the fountain. And the best have answered.

Standing on the edge of the makeshift runway on the edge of a jungle, he waits as the private jet slowly rolls to a stop. Two people run up to the jet, opening the door.

"Great explorers of out time, I welcome you to the expedition of your lives. I thank you for accepting my offer to a place in history."

The elf Blake Netter flips her ginger hair waiting for more instructions. She was a strong woman, but not muscular, and her face is covered in freckles from all of her adventuring outside. She is not the smartest or the most observant.

Avery was settled on a log near by, reading a copy of Dantes Inferno in the original Italian despite there being copies printed in her native language, her raven black hair blowing in the wind

[Rye]

Luke gently hops out the plane and steps out onto the runway , his hood flicked up to child him from the wind and his arms tucked into his hoodie. He hated warm weather it was too humid and stuffy, at least it should be cool inside the temple. Judging from the other people this was a contest and his other competitors seemed to be better than him in a few fields, but it wasn't always smarts or brawn that won , hopefully luck would be on his side.

Dakota was sitting under a tree, taking some photos of the scenery with a small camera. Here, she sat and wondered what to do first to find the fountain.

Avery sighed as she placed a book mark in and shut her book "We're all here now. What are the EXACT details of what you brought us together to do?"

Blake looks over to Avery and smiles at her beauty. "I agree with her, what are we doing."

[Spydare]

"Ah, yes. My apologies, I'm just so excited I was trying to let you take in the moment. But lets get down to business." He motioned for everyone to follow him and they all gathered around what was considered some kind of base camp.

"Now, as my invitation stated, we believe we have located the legendary Fountain of Youth, or at least where it is kept. Also, before any of you ask; what makes this different from other dead end leads over the years?" He holds up a old notebook. "Two weeks ago, a man was found in a village several miles from here. This was the only thing he had on him. After studying his notes, all signs indicate that he was apart of an older team that found the "Temple of Youth" for lack of a better term, but something happened before they found it. And this makes it even more interesting..." He opened the journal to its final page entry. "It's last entry is dated over one hundred years ago."

He paused to let the team think about that.

"Getting back on track, we followed the notes and we believe we found where his team were exploring. Its location is quite amazing, instead of a temple on the surface, this one is carved into the wall of a deep craves. You ever see Indiana Jones 3? Basically the same thing." He closed the journal and reached for a folder. "We've been here four days. I've already arranged transportation to the temple, so getting there will be no problem. Your task is to get in and find the fountain. Your reward will be a legitimate sum of your choosing, eternal fame, and most important; the chance to drink from the fountain. But I must warn you, when we found the man who was there last, lets just say he wasn't well."

He dropped the folder on the table, revealing a photo of a mid-aged man in a padded cell, wearing a straitjacket and a diaper.

"If your still in, make your way to the transport."

Those that stayed were driven to the temple's craves. Straight ahead was the temples main entrance. Inside was an large stone room with an alter in the middle. On the alter were three large idols. The idols were three figures, each appeared to be a different age, they looked heavy. There was also some kind of writing along the back wall. Finally in the center of each of the three walls was a medium symbol: a sun, the top half of a sun, and a moon.

Luke stared over the pictures , sounded crazy but most thing that were worth something sounded crazy to start with. He looked over to the cave it just looked like every other cave to him , but maybe a little different , it did look like it had been carved a little , he guessed by the indigenous people. The dates did shock him , but logic told him to doubt the evidence, when something seems too good to be true ,it often is and there was probably a simple explanation for it , like a hoax. "I can see your interest. But I want some insurance. If this is a dead end I'm not walking away with nothing." he said , hoping he would have something to put up front. He looked down at the picture again "there could be lots of reasons, its just superstition. Mental illness cannot the caused by wandering around a cave. It might not even be the same man in the journal. It could just be some crazy fool who found a old journal of a failed expedition and added in his own notes" he said calmly. "I'm you're to do with as long as I get something up front if this is all a hoax. I don;t like it when people waste my time"

Luke stared at the statues "pretty nice" he said seeing the symbols "maybe it's like the gods of the moon or something, something with the lunar cycle" he said , not having the knowledge to make an educated assertion.

Blake looks at the statues. "What do you think would hapen if I move the youngest looking one?" She asks ready to lift it. "If nobody has any objections, I'm a gonna lift it."
