It was a cold morning in the middle of winter Fall looked out her window. The little copper pegasus had woken early. Snow! Finally a chance to enjoy herself. She loved the beauty of the snow and wanted to try and get close up. The little blue eyed 7 year old girl got out of bed. She was wearing a light green dress that looked filthy it was somewhat infantile in design though simple it had been meant for a new born but her size being no bigger than a one year old it still fit her pretty well though it was filthy from having been worn for years. She brushed out her hair with her fingers and tied it into pigtails with 2 blue heart scrunchies then put on her green flowered headband. She climbed quietly out of bed glad to be the only one up. She snuck out of the building. Noone would care that she was out but she didn't want to be questioned on her chores by the adults she could make her bed later when everyone was up now was her rare chance for fun. Fall stared at the snow she didn't even know what to do with it but she knew she liked it. She kneeled down on the ground her legs tingled from the cold but she didn't mind. She started to trace random shapes in the snow. The other kids soon woke up and had come up to play in the snow she trembled as they ran by her. One of them pushed her down into the snow "babies belong inside out of sight" the bigger girl told her they were about the same age but fall did look a lot like a baby due to her lack of growth. She was far skinnier than the other kids as well. The orphanage provide fair enough portions of food but there was still competition over it and fall was often left without.

Sarah was walking the long way home since on the shorter way goes by a bar and last time she went by that route the drunk people either tried to hit on her by making comments about her heart shaped spots or when she turned them down they made fun of her abnormal 5'9 height besides she thought it be fun to see the kids play and maybe play with them since she loved kids.as she walked by though she saw a bunch of kids picking on a baby"Hey what are you kids doing "she yelled at the kids trying to keep calm

The kids looked scared for a second then immediately put there hands behind theirs back standing in the basic pose of innocence changing their expressions to look sweet as they could and standing blocking the smallest child, fall, from view who was lying in the snow trembling behind them. "Nothing miss" they all said trying to sound sweet and innocent "just playing" one 5 year old boy added to which a bunch of them nodded

She marches up the hill and glares at the children with an angry look.of course she wasn't really mad it was just an attempt to scare the children into either telling the truth or running away"don't lie to me I really don't like liers "she said trying to look and sound scary although she wasn't good at sounding the part but thanks to being a snow leopard she can certainly more then make up for it in looks because of her razor Sharp teeth and her claws

Most of the children ran off into the building if she was scary like that she could have fall they didn't want her. The remaining few the oldest set growled before they went off to play elsewhere "it's just a stinky baby nothing important" one of them told her. Fall hadn't moved still trembling face down in the snow she was now revealed the little copper fillies wings could be seen as she was laid down they were torn and tattered and appeared broken though there was no blood suggesting it was an older injury.

She stops the scary act satisfied that they are gone and looks down at fall"Oh you poor thing"she lifts fall up looking at the wings thinking for a second those nasty kids did this but upon closer examination notices the wounds are old"who on earth is irresponsible enough to leave a poor defenseless baby out here"she,said as she wiped the snow and dirt off of fall

"I .um...I'm not a baby miss s..sorry" the little girl said her size and clothing said otherwise and yet her voice and speech were that of an older child very little lisp and perfectly pronounced. She was scared by the woman as she was by any person but glad the other kids had been chased away children were far scarier.

Looks down at fall a little shocked and felt a little bad for,mistaking her for a 1 year old "oh dear I'm so sorry it's just the clothes and your height kinda got me confused "she said still holding you snuggly in her arms "why are you out here shouldn't you be with your mom or dad"she said completely forgetting she was next to an orphanage "and why were those mean kids picking on you "

"That's OK most think I'm a baby. " she shrugs. "What is a mom or dad? I heard the other kids talking about them sometimes that they used to have they sound scarey. I never had that." She points at the orphanage "I live there I came out to see the snow. Was that bad? Should I go back in?" "Oh and they always do I deserve it I'm sure." She tells the lady.

Sarah is surprised 'this poor kid she,doesn't know what a mom or dad is?why does she think they are scary?and why does she think she deserves to be hurt'she said thinking to herself and looks at your wings again"no its fine here how about we both go in and you can play while I have a small chat with the adults inside ok?"
