Simon Brown did earn quite a nice amount due his time as CEO of a big company. Now that he has turned 40 he decided to retire. After all he doesn't have to worry about money anymore at all. In order to catch up with things he considers to have missed during his life as a company man he placed some advertisement on several spots in the web and in print media.

The mid-aged man was waiting for one of the final candidates at one of his houses. This one was located on a tropical island so even Simon has decided to go with a short sleeved button up shirt and a matching pair of trousers. He black hair is still kept in a short business-cut and sure he has shaved this morning to keep the all over friendly and neat look he got used to over so many years.

Dakota Smith was traveling by boat to the house where she was instructed to go to. A young 21-year-old woman, Dakota was wearing a red shirt, black skirt and boots, and was sporting some nice glasses when she arrived at the island. The girl was offered and nice job, or so she was told, but she noticed that she was on an island and the only building seemed to be a house located up a flight of steps. As the girl walked up she noticed that the area did look pretty nice. The palm trees were blowing in the air and breeze feels very nice and cool. Dakota finally got to the front door with her luggage in tow and knocked on the front door.

Simon gets off his chair as he hears someone knock the door. He takes a quick look at the wooden grandfather clock in the living-room and then walks over to the door. As he opens it Dakota sure might notice that the whole house seems to be kept on a comfortable temperature by an AC. The man in the door looks at her with a friendly smile on his face saying.

"Good afternoon young lady."

Dakota looked inside the house once the door was open, feeling an even nice breeze coming from inside. "Uh...hi, I am Dakota," she introduced herself, "I am...I am....I am here for the novel project I was told about." The girl just stood there and waited, not knowing the full details of the project. But whatever it was it would be worth coming to such a beautiful and lovely island in the middle of the ocean. "Uh...nice plce you got here," Dakota added.

Simon nods and lets his gaze wander over Dakota. He already loved the idea of this young woman becoming his baby daughter soon. "Nice to meet you Dakota. I am Simon Brown. But no need to be formal so just call me Simon for now." He does a step to the side holding the door open for Dakota. "Just come in. Can I help you with the luggage?"

"Okay, Simon," Dakota said, walking in with her luggage, "And no thanks, I can carry my stuff fine on my own." The girl took a nice look around the house she was going to be in for awhile and noticed something a little odd. This place seemed to be more residential than business. Almost as if this whole place seemed to be a private island that she was allowed to be on. "Uh...where is your office?" Dakota asked.

Simon shuts the door behind Dakota. He notices the confusion about the situation as she asks for his office and then slowly begins to leave the entrance area. "Just follow me please Dakota." He would lead Dakota down a short hall on the first floor and back outside to a neat tropical garden. There are two chairs and a table standing under a palm-tree. On the table Dakota even already can see some iced tea in a pitcher and two glasses. "So how much did you get told about this project during the selection process?"

Dakota kept hold of her luggage as she followed Simon. When they entered the back yard she saw the lovely garden and her eyes lighted up. Dakota set her luggage down on the grass and sat on the lawnchair, pouring herself some of the iced tea and began drinking from it happily. "Not much," Dakota answered, "I was told that I was to help with some sort of experiment and it would be a well paying job."

Simon takes a seat in the second lawnchair and nods at what Dakota tells him. "This is all correct so far." He pours himself some iced-tea as well before he looks at Dakota. "So this 'experiment' is more some some kind of behavior study when you would ask some experts."

Dakota eventually finished her iced tea and placed the empty glass onto the table. The girl adjusted her glasses a little before looking back towards at Simon with a bit of a questioned look on her face. When it came to behavior Dakota had been mostly good all her life. Sure she tends to slack off a little bit she was still a good person. Still, she had to know what this study would be. "What kind of behavior are you talking about, Simon?" Dakota asked.
