It's been a while since a newsletter was sent out so I thought it was about time to summarise how everything has been going recently.
Overall, our most popular sites carry on growing on an almost daily basis, here are some of our stats:
Anime OTK:
Around 6000 Active daily visitors. Of which 1700 are members, 4300 are guests or search engine spiders
An average of over 200 users online (33% members, 33% guests, 33% search engine spiders) in every 15 minute reporting period
Over 150,000 daily page views
Over 2,000,000 posts
Over 18,400 threads
Almost 60,000 members (of which over 6500 have been active in the past 3 months)
Over 36,000 images and over 210,000 comments
Over 900 original works of fiction
Over 600 video clips
Diapered Anime:
Around 2250 active daily visitors, of which 550 are members, 1700 are guests or search engine spiders
An average of around 100 users online (25% members, 25% guests, 50% search engine spiders) in every 15 minute reporting period
Over 80,000 daily page views
Over 1,700,000 posts
Almost 17,000 threads
Over 50,000 members (of which over 3400 have been active in the past 3 months)
Over 20,000 images and over 100,000 comments
Almost 1300 original works of fiction
Yaoi Ai:
Around 2000 active daily visitors, of which 300 are members, 1700 are guests or search engine spiders
An average of around 80 users online (25% members, 25% guests, 50% search engine spiders) in every 15 minute reporting period

As you may all know, hosting sites costs money
Our current monthly server bill for our main servers is $130 a month (US dollars), the bill for our backup server (on which Handprints and Boyz Being Boyz are also hosted) is £71.88 (British Pounds) annually. Our domain fees are $140 annually. This equates to $1810 (US dollars, 1603 Euros, £1168 British Pounds) in annual running fees just to keep the sites alive. As we no longer have obtrusive advertising on the sites (due mostly to the payouts being terrible!) we rely entirely on donations from you, our members to carry on running. Ai and Akuma have, over the past year supported the sites by covering shortfalls, but total donations over the past 12 months have only been around $300.
We have not been able to afford to update scripts for many years, a full update to XenForo with XenGallery or XenForo with a new version of PhotoPost (since Vbulletin V5 is terrible and stupidly expensive) would cost us $310 (£200, 275). New scripts will do two things, firstly and most importantly they will secure us against unpatched exploits in the current code and stop potential hackers gaining access and killing the sites. Secondly with new code on our servers everything should run much faster. The current code was written for version of phpand mysql that are now obsolete and prevent us from upgrading everything to our liking on server
Donation Goals:
$500 keep adverts off of all sites for the next 6 months
$800 Update AnimeOTK to new scripts and keep all adverts off all the sites for the next 6 months
$1100 Update AnimeOTK and YaoiAi to new scripts and keep all adverts off all the sites for the next 6 months
$1400 Update AnimeOTK, YaoiAi and Diapered Anime to new scripts and keep all adverts off all the sites for the next 6 months
$2500 Update all sites with new scripts and custom coding. Group all site databases to work with a single username/password. Custom coding to add *booru style tagging to images.
$5000 All of the above and a lot more custom coding!
$10,000 Completely custom scripts for all sites, features will be suggested and voted for in all the communities.
