Today was the first day that Daniel Tiger would be wearing his brand new undies to school, having graduated from pull-ups over the weekend. His mother didn't feel like he was completely ready for them, but she hoped that if he wore undies, he wouldn't want to make them dirty and would try harder to keep them clean.

In the morning, she woke him up gently and got his daytime outfit ready. "Good morning, Tiger," she told him as he stirred. "Let's get you out of your night-time protection and into your big boy undies."

"Good job." Mom Tiger was sure to give him lots of praise when he stayed dry. She helped her off the bed and started changing him into his day clothes. She let him pose in front of the mirror in his undies. "Now remember, you can't make pee or poop in your big kid undies," she told him. "If you feel like your pee or poop wants to come out, what are you going to do?"
