Everything was crumbling around her.Ceiling tiles ker-plooshed into the puddle of water that sat in her chamber possibly from a water pipe break somewhere on the third floor. GLaDOS sighed in her robotic tone as she surveyed the extensive damage. It would take too long and require so much effort to clean it up. And the facility was crumbling away beneath her. And she was powerless to stop it.

"You could always come with us," said a voice coming from the decaying entrance lobby of Aperature Science. It was Chell. She looked up at a camera which she knows GLaDOS was looking through. "This place isn't going to hold any longer. Do what Wheatley did and come with us. I know you're listening."

"Why would I come with you? The one who tried to kill me...twice." GLaDOS snarled back, aiming her optic away from the woman in the frame. "I have everything I need here, plenty of test tracks! And materials to build more! I don't need you." She stated flatly, with a hint of remorse in her voice. Damn the scientists for giving her emotional circuitry.

Chell sighed from the comments and hearing a hint of remorse in her voice. "We don't want you to be alone, GLaDOS. The outside world has really advanced since your time cooked up here. We'll be with you the whole time." Chell was urging GLaDOS to leave this place as she know the AI would eventually weather away like the rest of the place.

Deep inside of her, a voice long forgotten screamed "Yes!" causing the cold metallic heart to tremble a bit. She knew there was nothing for her down here any longer. "And how do you suppose I go with you?" She asked, her optic turning back to face the camera. "It is not like I am very mobile you know..." She stated with a bit of triumph in her voice before horror overtook her. "And don't suggest a potato." She added.

"Is that machine that makes synthetic bodies still working well? Why not use that to make a body for yourself. Don't you remember Wheatley using it some time ago? It's still working perfectly," Chell suggested. "Being human isn't all that bad."

A skeptical gleam glazed over the AI's optic. "That old thing? It was only a side project I had going when I got bored. I suppose it does still work." She entertained the thought for a bit. "If I was a human, I could leave here?" She asked, almost disbelieving.

"Come on, GLaDOS. You'll have nothing to worry about. Wheatley and I will be by your side," Chell assured the menacing AI. Despite their differences in the past, Chell grown to care about her a lot. She is basically family by now.

GLaDOS made one last look back at the crumbling empire that laid to waste before her. "Alright." She agreed quickly before she could change her mind. "I'll fire up the Biological Organism Device Yielder." She sighed.

Chell smiled with glee as and decided to see this event unfold. She found an elevator and took it down to the laboratories so she can watch GLaDOS take on a human body. She eventually made it to the room where the B.O.D.Y. machine was and waited for the process to complete. She was curious to see what GLaDOS looked like as a human.
