(Erm... hate to ask, but could you rp totally in the third person? To an extent, using she/her or things like that are fine, but you should at least mention her name as that sets it as the subject. And not your, just use the name Avery. Averys voice. Averys apartment. Etc.)
Avery smiled "Oh don't worry about that. No one else lives here except for me, and now you." she said kindly. Avery lead Amelia to an empty bedroom, save for a queen sized bed "This one's for you, dear. Just go ahead an unpack, then come on out. I was actually cooking dinner from excitement."

(ok sorry ill do that )amelia smiles hearing avery say that glad that it was only the two of them and even more so that there was a queen sized bed in her room"oooh what are you cookin?"she asked curiously opening the small box that held everything amleia owned which it was mostly just health care supplies the hosptial had given like deodorant, toothpaste, a toothbrush and the only thing that was hers to begin with it was a wallet.the wallet was slightly burnt and banged up a bit but you couldnt tell from what.she proceeds to put the wallet ontop of a dresser nearby and puts the health care supplies in one of the dresser drawers(is that better maam?)

"Yes. It's originally a cajun dish but I dont make it quite a spicy. I make it with Chicken, Italian Sausage, Shrimp, rice, green and red bell peppers, sometimes tomatoes, and I let it simmer in French Onion soup. It's good, I promise" Avery replied smiling at the girls childish reaction.
