Sevie hastily got off the bus, her blonde hair done up with pins for this special occasion. She hadn't seen her friend in so long, it felt like ages had passed! Sevie reminisced about all of the silly things they'd do when they were young, the misadventures they'd get into and the sleepovers... She wondered if her friend was just as stoked as she was?

She made her way down the sidewalk, looking at a note in her hand for the name of the cafe she was to meet her in.

Sevie spotted the cafe just across the street, and the crosswalk had just given the go sign. She trotted across, her simple blouse and jeans fluttered in the gentle breeze as she crossed. She entered the cafe and spotted whom she assumed was her friend in the corner, sipping from a cup. She slowly made her way over, waving, hoping that she didn't get the wrong person - Sevie was sorta clutsy sometimes, had been her whole life.

"U-uh... Kinda? I thought I took the right bus the first time, but then I ended up on the south side of town..." Sevie rubbed the back of her head, blushing a bit. She sat down with Jess, the two of them talked for a bit. Sevie had a bagel and some tea, catching up with her friend. After awhile, she started to stretch her legs.

"Aaaahhhh.... From the train to the subways to the buses... I'm ready to go walk somewhere. Didn't you say some of the best nature trails in the country were right on the edge of town? I wouldn't mind some fresh air." Sevie said plainly, leaving a tip on the table under the salt shaker.

Getting up, Jess paid for the tea's and saw her friend leave a tip.
"Yeah the best trails are not to far from here. All we got to do is go a couple of blocks and we'll be right out side of town." Jess said leading.

Heading outside of the café, Jess begins down the side walk with her friend.

Sevie quickly caught up with Jess just before she left the cafe, not wanting to get separated again - lord knows how lost she'd get in unfamiliar territory. As they walked, it occurred to Sevie: "Ummm... Is it going to be okay to go like this, or is it rough terrain? I didn't bring any exercise clothing..." She said, a little embarrassed since they'd had a discussion about doing just this over the phone not but a day or so ago when she was packing up.

Oh, and how was your trip here? I heard flights were delayed in your state, surely you weren't dealing with any of that were you?

"Yeah, your dressed fine. And my flight? It was a little delayed but not to bad. After all I'm here." Jess said with her tongue sticking out playfully at her friend.

O-okay, good... Sevie said with relief. She kept finding herself walking a little faster than Jess, but realized that this was a problem since she didn't know which way they were going, and had to slow down.

She figured they were headed the right way though, things becoming less urban and more rural as they passed over a few blocks.
