A Trained Trainer(Private RP with Rye)

Vince smiled as he laid back in his seat, happy about how everything was going for him. His Dark type Gym in Kanto was open for over a month now and everything was going good.

Many people so far have tried to earn a badge here, some managed to win their badges through battling, most ended up losing, some lost but still earned their badge through the test of character and some just were plain sore losers at having lost to a 7-year old.

An 7-year old yes, but still a highly qualified Gym Leader who beat Elite Four Members in the Gym Leader Certification Test....

So he smiled and waited for the next challenger to appear....All he could hope for at the moment is that the next one to appear wouldn't be a sore loser....

Luke was new to the trainer thing. Well , relatively new. He wasn't so bad he couldn't battle or get through some of the basic hoops. He had two badges already and a few half decent poekmon in his roster. Although rather weak their moves weren't too bad and were a bit on the tough side. The boy was 13 in age , platinum blond hair , skeletal in build , brawn was not his thing any any means. The boy was a little abnormal. His left side was bandaged up with cream bandages , they were well hidden under his hair that he had grown over them to provide an extra layer of protection, it wasn't really much of a disability but there were times he walked into door frames. His other eye was a deep emerald green. He was a little worried about this gym , he had head it was pretty tough and he hadn't done his research into what could beat them , but let his confidence lead him though the other gym members blocking him to the leader.

Vince soon looked over the new challenger as he entered the room and begin to think to himself about the next challenger, 'A bit too skinny compared to the last trainers I've face, good hair, but what happened to his left eye?' Once he got those thoughts out of the way he said to him, "Are you here to get the Midnight Badge?" Referring of course to the official title of the badge of his gym...

"What's your name?" Vince asked him before he said, "My name is Vince and if you want to get the badge, I'm the last person standing in your way to it" Vince looked him over to see just what would be his reaction, some people let loose when they found out that a 7-year old was a gym leader, some got cocky, some were intimidated but he wanted to see just what kind of trainer this one is...

Luke stood firm and stared up at the leader "yea. Where's the leader?" he asked , not believing that this kid could man and hold an entire gym to himself , although he did want the badge. He looked around and saw no one else step forward , no big tough guy or anyone he would expect to be a gym leader. "wait.....You're the gym leader" he said breaking into laughter, going on a bit before stifling it back to smirks. He wiped a tear "okay , okay , I got this." he said, his eyes narrowing , taking this seriously now after he got the initial laughs out the way. He looked to see if it had thrown the leader off some , or angered them at all.

A vein became visible on Vince's forehead as a result of that crack at his age and decided to think to himself, 'He's already underestimated me, looks like I need to be a bit tougher than normal...'

"Alright then, what's your name and how many badges have you earned already?" Vince asked him knowing that he had enough pokemon to take on pretty much any trainer, he was already thinking though of hitting him with a team that's meant for trainers that had more badges than the ones he had....

Luke blinked , or rather , winked , and looked through his bag "two badges so far" he said holding the fabric with them pinned to it. He was pretty proud about that. "I'm Luke Morgan. You know , like the captain" he said, thinking an enraged leader would be reckless yet follow the rules. He didn't take into account that he probably wasn't the first or the last trainer to do something like this and it must take it's toll on the boy.

Vince thought about the team he would use on Luke the moment he said he had two badges so far....'Well then, looks like a 5 badge team should be enough for him'.

The moment he said this a trainer that Luke had beaten earlier came over to act as the official and said, "This Pokemon battle will be a 3 on 3 Pokemon battle and will not stop until one side has completely eliminated the other, the challenger Luke Morgan vs the Gym Leader Vince Powers. Go!"

The moment Vince had the signal to go he immediately threw out his first pokemon, "Sneasel, let's go!" Sneasel then popped up on the battle field ready to fight...

Luke smiled "Go , Shinx" he said , sending out the little spark pokemon , rather cute as well , a lot like it's trainer too. The rules set were fair. He stepped forward to be on the side of the arena. He was a little unsure , he didn't know much about his opponents pokemon but was hoping for the best. Now he was in the light his outfit became clear. He was in black jeans , with worn trainers and a soft light blue hoodie with his satchel strapped around him. "Okay , Shinx , Charge!" he commanded.

Vince stepped into the light as well revealing he was wearing a dark blue shirt with black jeans and clean running shoes with a black overcoat over it and soon commanded his Sneasel, "Evade and use Pursuit, don't let up on it!"

The physical move took Shinx down a bit , it hit a lot harder than he thought it would "Damm , Okay time to go on the offensive , Shinx Spark , let's light that thing up" he encouraged, having a look over at the leader , the black and blue suited the gym nicely , although he couldn't see the leader's facial features due to distance and lighting of the spotlights.
