A Pokemon cartoon shown on Pokemon Kids TV has been animated in a style that pays homage to the 1930s style of animation of pioneer
Max Fleisher, the creator of classic animation characters like Betty Boop. The expressive characters have bouncy movements, the backgrounds appear hand painted and the background music sounds like it comes from a classic 1930s soundtrack. The four minute animated short “Chase the Beans” created by The Pokemon Company features Scraggy from "Pokemon Black and White" and Mimikyu from Pokemon Sun and Moon as they engage in choreographed antics reminescent of an early 1940s Tom & Jerry animated short.
