One Halloween night, two friends decided to enjoy some time with each other of merriment...and potentially the aquisition of treats.
the first, a young man named jacob, was knocking at his friend's door, his mid length hair, black as the incoming night lightly bouncing about as he waited. he was dressed plainly for the moment, but that would soon change.

Jeanne herself had used her charm on her friend to convince Jacob to come trick or treating after all even if the young man viewed themselves too old for trick or treating Jeanne had a proper sense of how to talk nearly anyone into something. Granted that came with the fact she tends to need to lie a lot do to she isn't what you'd call a 'normel' person and of course the main selling point was how you can dress up as whatever you want and barely if at all be judged by the masses.

That's why she had decided to get them both costumes hoping Jacob has very little suspicion on the reason she wanted to get them each their costume to ensure they match ,but when the door opens Jacob gets yanked in by seemingly a glove '' Sorry ,sorry '' Jeanne said to Jacob as only shortly after last Halloween her magic awakened and she never realized how she'd be this bad with the magic boost ,another thing is Jacob didn't know how supernatural abilitys get boosts at specific times of the year and time of the day aswell. She mostly said sorry as the glove was her magic reacting and dragged him to her

jacob let out a yelp as he was yanked in, his reddish-purple eyes widening at the sudden magical display. "j..Jeanne! w..what the heck?" he stammered, squirming in it's grip. why were his eyes that crimson tone, you might ask? well, jacob was descended from voidspawn. though the blood was well enough diluted from generational gaps that he had only minor physical traits from his ancestory, and not any of the powers a true voidspawn would have.

Jeanne questioned as she went for a book to explain it and in a funny wave it wacked her in the head when it got abit darker still she ignored it and flipped to the part of the tome about magic times of the years and held it for Jacod to read its basically a overview of times of the year and times of the day aswell as advents that boost Supernatural beings powers aswell as abilitys Halloween being one of the biggest boosts for the day its set on

"..oh." He murmured after giving it a read over. "..well, still, unexpected." When the glove let go, Jacob dusted himself off. "So..uh..you said you picked out..special costumes for tonight?" He asked, blushing at the implication of special. Said blush stuck out like a sore thumb amongst his otherwise pale skin.

''Oh yes I believe you will love these but before I get them'' Jeanne patted Jacobs pants and tsk at not finding Jacob padded . After all ever sense she found out Jacobs secret she has more or less having a rule of Jacob coming over having to be padded unless someone wants a punishment or her mother is over for some reason .

''Seems someone hasn't followed the rule, Oh well guess no potty privileges while out and about tonight for you , Anyway question for you do you ever feel more power or energized on any of those times?''

He blushed deeper. "..I h..had a kids thing at the y before I came here." He said in excuse to her check. "..as for the other question..only at midnights, three ams.. I feel a bit weaker on the inverse of those times but not any particular dates or days in particular." He added.

Jacob whined a bit at that. "Its da twuth, honest momma Jeanne!" He huffed, using the "age appropriate" title. At her question he shrugged "I mean, not really. Unless you count cringing at the nutjobs those times bring out." He stated. "..I remember reading in one of your books that the voidspawn aren't effected by most faith based deterrents, since they're older than the subjects at use against them"

''Yes but remember you aren't completely one and have some other ancestry in you its just the Viodspawn is the strongest'' Jeannee remarked as she still winced abit'' That reminds me seems my baby will need to be helping his mommy for a little while as someone as a prank spiked her drink with holy water the other day'' True holey water can effect witchs and wizards but in general if just on the outside its a annoying unnoticed itch and rash that can be hid from people , its the fact when consumed they tend to have some control issues which ironically has been seen in the history as a blessing of purity on who consumes it and ends with that result for awhile
