X-Men: Inhuman Condition

While the Inhumans tend to keep to themselves they have overtime become more open to some visitors. One of those visitors being X-Men's Hank McCoy who helped them out with some recent matters. He's been invited as an honored guest and told he could bring some guests with him. Wanting to treat his family to such a special occasion, Hank is here with them for to enjoy the comforts and wonders of the city. "How are you enjoying it so far Mom?"

Hank was dressed in a rather fetching suit rather than his usual X-Speedo. Though as usual he was lacking any footwear. At the moment they were having dinner in the Inhumans grand dining room. "After dinner they said we could be honored guests at observing the Terrigenesis process. It's where they expose their children to the Terrigen Mists and cause their Inhuman genes to awaken. It's a fascinating process. Though very dangerous to Mutants like myself."

Edna and Norton on the other hand was in there best suit and dress as when they was said they was invited to something special as extra guests to a special occasion and hearing hearing there son is a honored guest they went with what they assumed would reflect good on there son''

''Its strange ''Edna offered on the matter at hand eyeing Kamala Khan as if expecting to be dragged off understandable given she had been in the mix of that girls militant following of helping afew others Edna deemed to call for a lack of a better term problematic Heroes and Heroines that was locking people up for possible crimes they might commit in the future'' But enjoyable'' Edna though frowned at hearing the exposure matter '' But won't that hurt them? Why can't the genes awaken naturally like the X-gene?''Edna was what one might call in a moment of Angst over hearing such a thing as exposing children that to all she knowns could awaken their powers naturally … Though the ones with kids wasn't offended in fact they seemed relieved a seemingly normal human was in such a state of worry and angst over what all the woman knew could harm the kids showing a caring heart

Beast chuckled softly and leaned in to kiss his Mother's cheek softly. His soft furry features tickling her cheek slightly. "You always did care so much for the children. We'll have to ask Medusa about you visiting the daycare." Hank paused for a moment... figuring out how to best explain things to Edna. "Well their children don't naturally express the genes dormant in them. Much like how my blue furry form wasn't a native expression of my mutation." Hank began in the most simplest terms.

"Terrigenesis is also very controlled here to ensure a satisfactory outcome. So tests are made to ensure the process doesn't produce problematic expressions." Hank knew Edna might not like just how that sounds but tried to comfort any concerns she might have. "The Inhumans are a small group of limited genetic diversity. It's a safety feature to try to prevent dangerous expressions." Hank knew that there were problems with how The Inhumans did things but didn't want to cause a rift.

Edna did let out a slight chuckle at the ticklish fur as its hard not to laugh or chuckle when kissed by the furball but she did perk up at the daycare matter'You're still such a sweetie after all these years'' Edna spoke at Hanks behavior towards her in the matter. Though on the explanation she blinked Hank may have dumbed it down but she is not the science type its one of the reasons she managed to understand magic better and get along more swimmingly with mystics or those of mystic interest … Because they didn't go into technobabble or long winded explanations in general that is'' So you're say they have stayed isolated to the degree there dna has been affected negatively?''Edna questioned trying to understand what Hank was getting at as from what she learned in school when she was going years ago is lack of genetic diversity tends to mean isolation that can lead into something akin but to but not quite inbreeding .

''And by dangerous expressions you mean something like your Aunt Pollies state of being?''Edna questioned trying to use a example of someone she knows well that they found how limited reality warping powers that affected her mental state

"I knew the mention of getting to see the children would make you happy." Hank winked as he finished his drink and leaned back a bit from the table. "D'aww... well you're to blame entirely for how sweet I am." Hank teased just a bit and tried to keep her focus on what the explanation might mean for the Inhumans. Though a few moments later it's clear she had some understanding of what he'd explained. "Well... negatively is a strong word. I mean there can be dangerous mutations as well."

Hank wiped his mouth with his napkin and continued to chat casually with Edna. "The Inhumans are the result of a group of aliens tinkering with humanoid genes. They're called the Kree, and were looking for a means of creating weapons." Hank explained just a bit and glanced up at the throat clearing from Medusa. "Oh, looks like if you're done with dinner Mom and Dad they're about ready for the Terrigen process." Hank got up from his chair and then moved to offer his hand to Edna to help her up.

"Aunt Polly? Yeah something like that. Or dangerous physical mutations. Or just mutations that don't offer anything to the betterment of the species." Hank explained as they began walking towards the Terrigenesis room. Unknown to Hank there was an accident about to occur that would change everything at least for the McCoys. "This is a great honor.... I hope you're not too exhausted after dinner Mom?" Hank asked, slipping an arm around her waist and offering another furry kiss on the cheek.

As the accident happened from a overlooked weakened delivery system some of the mist was inhailed by Edna and Hank of course Edna was perfectly fine infact the mist was making her feel more alive then she had in awhile though both of them unknowning inhaled the mist thinking it was just regularly water vaper and not the awaking mists for the inhumans and general death sentence to mutants if overly exposed which is easy to do...''Get them out of here and into the med bay now'' Ordered one of the Inhumans when he noticed the leak and the fact both Hank and Edna had been inhaling the mist clearly mistaking it as condensation that turned to regular water vaper

Edna was confused though when they was getting escorted out towards the medbay and that's when it hit her possibly that mist wasn't regular mist especially when Hank started to get ill all of a sudden during the escort to the medbay though she noticed she was getting odd looks for being fine as if they expected her to get sick aswell … Though suddenly she felt like she was on fire metaphorically speaking mainly for the mist was now awaking a secret in her she was unaware she had a power though it sorta was to be expected as two McCoys have some ability atleast in the generation before her and Hank then you have Polly after all...

It was a one in a million incident... but by the time that Edna and Hank were rushed out of the room it was too late for both of them. Both of them had been exposed with the potentially dangerous gas... though at first things seemed to be fine. Hank even trying to argue with the Inhuman Guards that he was fine and that they should worry about his Mother. He didn't feel like he was sick at first and assumed he was fine... even pulling away from some of the guards to look worriedly at his Mom as they were escorted. "Don't worry about me... check on my Ma... Ma..."

Hank never managed to get the word 'Mom' out of his mouth as both Edna and himself were overwhelmed by whatever was going on. Due to the damage to Hank's mutation he didn't get deathly sick at least... though other problems were about to arise. As Hank's vision blurred and every muscle in his body seemed to grow weak and he crumpled to the ground with "Mama" as the last words out of his mouth. Hank seemed almost as weak as a baby as someone scooped him up... rushing him off. Edna noticing a large puddle on the floor where Hank had collapsed.

Edna heraself wasn't sure what to make of this she was so spry now after the mist inhaling aswell as feeling somewhat younger in a manner of speaking but went with the guards and it was found she was a inhuman … It was ironic given how a inhuman faction went abit anti-mutant situation at one time and Edna turned out to be one... Its odd but Edna came out with a ability befitting her interest on caring for others thus she had been caring for inhuman children as she waited for her Hank to awaken after having passed out granted he has been padded given the clearly noticed wetting and worse later on .

Though Hank seemed to have his extreme strength and such compared to prior is rather weak for now added possibly needing help later on

The full extent of Edna's powers likely were to be discovered in time... though she had luckily dodged a bullet by not having a repressed X-Gene or anything. Though from the sound of it Hank wasn't quite so luckily due to his exposure. His X-Gene was already messed up due to the radiation that had caused him to manifest at birth and his own tinkering with his genes. So while it wasn't killing him it had caused some unexpected problems for the blue-furred mutant who was still currently unconscious from it.

As Edna was caring for the Inhuman children Hank did eventually wake up... groaning heavily and finding himself in a medbay. Hank felt a bit of a mental fog and noticed he'd been sucking his thumb while asleep... blushing some and tossing aside his sheets. And then realizing he was in diapers rather than his X-Costume. Hank reaching down to feel and finding he was damp. "Hrmph?" Hank announced and sat up. "Mom?" Hank went to get out of bed and his legs went out from under him like a baby who couldn't walk.

Of course the thud was easy to hear from the daycare she was caring for the recently awakened Inhumans so she was quick to rush in as only one being was at the medbay her son and she blinked at Hank not able to walk or atleast too weak to walk'' Are you okay ?'' Edna asked checking for any injury on Hank falling noticing at about the same time his diapers … It was easy to notice needless to say.'' You seem unhurt so lets get my little one changed'' Edna wasn't belittling Hank of course no she just meant that as her boy will forever be her baby and little one to her.

Though Hank might notice she seems stronger now then what she was as she manged to with some trouble get Hank on the bed and start looking for the diapers in the medbay ...still Hank should notice the somewhat more youthful appearance of Edna not enough to be worried about, but enough to be noticed aswell as the comforting aura about her
