Diapers, Dinosaurs and a Dragon (Private for Silvertip and Hiddenhunter))
Deextinction — the practice of bringing animals back from the abyss of extinction — originated as little more than a philosophical experiment. But Jurassic Park — Michael Crichton's legendary 1990 novel and its equally famous 1993 film adaption — had taken the term out of the staid halls of academia and into the public imagination in the most bombastic way possible.
Resurrecting the legendary Terrible Lizards. Dinosaurs.
Unfortunately, reality intruded. The technology and science at the time was simply incapable of such an act of wizardry. And deextinction was once again relegated to the halls of academia as a theoretical exercise. But technology never stops advancing. And so, with the dawn of the Biotech Age, a mere thought experiment was once again within the grasp of scientists.
In 2011, paleontologist Jack Horner held the TEDTalk, “Building a Dinosaur from a Chicken” that implanted the first seeds of this idea in the 11 year old Owen Grant. Enraptured by this idea, he vowed to bring Jack Horner's dream to life. Twenty five years later, with his doctorate in genetics in hand and working with the most advanced techniques in gene sequencing and genome editing, his team at Greenfield Genetics produced the first living dinosaur seen in eons: a Velociraptor.
Sensing a business opportunity, Greenfield Genetics purchased a large tract of land out in the plains of Montana and set about remaking it in the image of the Mesozoic. In 2039, the zoological garden/theme park known as Mesozoic Zoo was opened with much fanfare. In that time, Deinonychus, Troodon and Utahraptor were among the dromaeosaurids revived using the same model. And they had also hatched a Compsognathus — the first non-dromaeosaurid theropod created. It would appear that they were well on their way to reviving the whole menagerie of Mesozoic creatures but then, trouble arose.
Complaints poured in about the "dinosaurs" acting like domestic chickens and with that, Mesozoic Zoo's profits began to plunge. Doctor Grant's team soon decided to do some additional genetic modifications to the brains of these "dinosaurs". And it worked, perhaps far too well. This new batch of raptors not only behaved like the actual dinosaurs, they were also extremely intelligent, capable of passing the mirror test. This was discarded as a curiosity but when one of the raptors spoke, further tests were conducted with all due haste.
What the scientists found shocked everyone; those talking raptors were not merely mimicking sounds. They understood the words and their context and were as intelligent and self-aware as humans. Since exhibiting these sapient raptors in a zoo was likely to cause a public backlash, Greenfield Genetics made the decision to permanently shutter Mesozoica Zoo and convert it to a closed town known as Mesozoica. There, scientists taught the theropods basic living skills, how to integrate into Human society as well as conducting research on them.
It was then they noticed an unusual biological quirk. Every single one of the sapient theropods (now called Mesozoicans after the town) had some degree of incontinence, ranging from nocturnal incontinence to total incontinence. The scientists tried to find a cure but were stymied by the fact that the genes that control brain development were also involved in the development of nerves that were responsible for continence.
And so in 2051, Mesozoica was finally opened and revealed to the public. Public outcry and even violence erupted but soon, order was restored and debates about what to do with these newly created organisms arose. After four years of legal brawling, it was declared that Mesozoicans were persons akin to humans and Mesozoica was separated from Montana to form an administrative city-state akin to Washington D.C.
---------------------------------
Orlando, Florida. Home of some of the most famous theme parks on the planet: Disneyworld, Universal Theme Park. And now, Jurassic World.
With the demise of Mesozoic Zoo, Universal Studios decided to bring the legendary theme park to life. Using advanced robotics and Mesozoican actors, Jurassic World was now a reality. Indeed, it was the largest employer of Mesozoicans in the entire state.
And that was where Sthkaern...or "Blue" on the account of his brilliant blue plumage. It was a name that amused him. He worked in the theme park as a mechanic and he shared a name with the protagonist of the film. Of course, as evidenced by him sitting at the Margaritaville bar and enjoying an ice cold tequila, he was off work today. The Deinonychus behind the counter passed a glass of water to a Human who sat at the end of the counter.

Kiru is the only dragon that roams earth as of right now. Kiru stands just under seven foot, with his wings stretching out to be nearly ten foot long. His wings being a dark purple while the rest of his body being a lighter purple color. Kiru was found in a cave towards the top of Fuji mountain. Frozen in ice he had fell into a deep hibernation. That was until he was found and brought back to the states. He was unfrozen at the same time, genetics was mixed into his own before being brought back to life.
Kiru walks into the bar, with a thick book and a over sized pen. A heavy sigh leaving him, as he sits down in a chair that can barely hold him. "Bar keep, Can I have a blood orange and pineapple drink?" He asked, while using the ribbon to open the book up. Looking at the blank page, before clicking the pin to push the point out so he can write. Not paying attention to the things happening around him. Consumed by his writings, he didn't feel himself wet the chair. Until it was too late. "Urg. I can't believe this." He grumbles to himself.

"Coming right up." The Mesozoican bartender, looked over Kiru. "Never seen you before," he said. "You from around here?" He passed the drink to the dragon.
Blue quickly got up from his seat to avoid the puddle from Kiru's accident. Speaking of accidents, his own diaper did feel a little heavy...maybe it was time for him to change into some fresh padding as well before his break was over. "Erm," he said quitely to a Human waiter. "Can we get a mop here?" At the same time, he decided that he would befriend this new creature after work.

Kiru's shoulders sinks down, at the same time sticking his pen into the big book. A hand lifting up to rub his head. "I'm so sorry for the mess. I can clean it up." He said with his light purple cheeks turning more of a plum like color. His wings drooping down as his pride felt like its being statered into a million pieces.

Blue wave a hand. "No worries," he said. "It happens." He then raised a clawed hand. "Anyways, do you want to meet up and chat after my shift?"
A Human janitor arrived with a mop and began cleaning up Kiru's accident. Seeing as her expression remained completely neutral, it seemed like she was used to cleaning up these kinds of messes.

Kiru's pawed hand lifts up to rub the back of his neck. "I don't see why not. I work at the lab for right now." He said in a soft tone. Standing up next to the table, he bow's slightly before he introduces himself to the male. "My name is Kiru. I once lived on Fuji mountain." He says, as he grabs his thick book and pen.

Blue sniffed at Kiru and then shook his hand. "I am Sthkaern... but everyone calls me 'Blue'," the Deinonychus said.
"Anyways, I have to get back to work now," he said. His tail flicked slightly and his diaper sagged just a little more. "Anyways," he said in a whisper. "If you're worried about your...leaks, you can buy a diaper from the bathrooms. And don't worry, no one will judge. After all, how can we with all the diapered dinos here?"
Blue chuckled a bit at his joke before be headed out of the bar.

Kiru somewhat blushed about the talk of diapers. Nodding his head, as he understood what the male meant. However the lab would allow him to have one, since they are still in the testing stages. "Th...Thanks." He says with a small rumble in his voice. "I'll see you later." He says with a wave.

"See you soon!" Blue paid for his drink and headed out into the Floridian sun. He sniffed the air and took in the scent of excitement that seemed to permeate the air.
He headed to a gate that was labeled "employees only". Along the way, he passed by what he assumed was a Dein hatchling being changed on a bench but said "hatchling" was far too articulate. Blue chittered softly as he realized what was transpiring.
The raptor shut the gate behind himself and continued down the path.

Kiru also paid for his drink, also got a it to go. He was far to embarrassed to stay sitting in the bar. With one pawed hand holding onto the drink, while the other hand held onto his book. It didn't take him to reach the labs where he is currently stationed at the time being. He informed the head scientist about what had happened. Luckily he didn't say anything to Kiru.
After he ate the different types of modern time fruit, he noted the one's he liked and what he didn't like. The next test was fairly easy for him, but for the scientist it was a little harder to draw blood from him. His scales far tougher than the other creatures. By the time the last test was done Kiru needed a nap. He informed the female scientist that he was going to his room to rest for a little while.
