The New kid

Brittany, a young new mother, was stuck in the middle of traffic trying to get her son to her first day of class. Her and her husband went through a lot of hard work to get the four year old and didn't want the Social people already having ammunition against them because he was late on his first day of school. Though school had been going on for a couple of months they had to get the boy from across state.
As she sat there and waited she looked back at the four year old buckled snuggly into his booster seat in his new spiderman shirt and blue jean. He had a red jacket on, since it was winter but it wasn't cold enough for a winter coat, but she left it unzipped so he wouldn't get to hit.
"How you holding up baby?" She asked

Cody, the boy in the back seat, was nervous. It was his first day of school and he was terrified. He didn’t know anyone. The boy had white hair due to a disorder known as Poliosis Circumscripta. His eyes were red because when he was born, blood leaked into his irises.
He heard his new adoptive mom ask him how he was holding up. “I’m scared...” He replies in a shy, quiet voice.

Why are you scared?" She asked_ though she knew why. Being a new kid in a new school_ heck he even had a new family. Plus there was his eyes..... He looked like he was possessed with those blood red eyes. But her and her husband didn't want him thinking there was something wrong with him by getting the boy some color contacts or taking him to the doctors to see what they would do. If they boy got picked on though they were planning on taking him to the doctors. But Brittany guessed that was one of the things she liked about Cody. Those watery red eyes reminded her of rubys

“I don’t know anyone there... what if they don’t like me? What if there are bullies? Wh-What if I can’t m-make any friends..?” He asked, beginning to panic. “I-I don’t want to b-be Alone...”

Aw it'll be OK baby." She assured, "Just remember to introduce yourself and of anything is wrong tell the teacher and daddy or mommy will come to pick you up. You got your stuff monster for nap time. Cookies for snack time. And you favorite toy." She listed off, "You're gonna be fine." She said hoping it'd be true as traffic started to move

“I-I do too...” He said, sniffling. He had been dreading the first day of school for a long time. “I hope I-I can make some friends...”

I'm sure you will sweetie." She assured as they pulled into the larking lot of Ms. Laybugs Preschool. Brittany got the boy out of the booster seat and straighten up his close before tacking a second to look at the boy and smiled
"You're the most handsome amazing and charming little boy this school will ever see." She said in tears hating to see him go to school_ half because she was gonna miss him and the other half because she was scared to death someone was gonna make fun of him. Though he had only been in the family for a few weeks she loved the little guy to death

Cody was almost in tears, not wanting to go. He looked at the building with fear and dread in his eyes.

Brittany hugged the boy tight, figuring it was better to be a sobbing mess out side and not inside where the other kids could see it. She tried to fight some fears but they got out and her eye shadow stained the boys white hair

Cody hugs back, whimpering. He can’t stop the tears from running down his face.
