Neo Neapolitan (Private for Ryuko)

Summer Rose sat by her favorite tree writing a page of poems, she had watched her children’s struggles, while as any proud parent she wanted them to learn for themselves. She also wanted to be hands on, it was a difficult task with two daughters who learned differently, given how much older Yang was to her sister Ruby, there was not much Summer could teach Yang. However, she could teach a lot to Ruby, and it got personal when they were engaged in combat by that new girl, Neapolitan she was called. Summer guessed because of the pink, brown, and white color scheme that girl favored, or maybe it was a decoy, she didn’t know, but she instinctively knew that girl was bad news. And that path led to trouble clans like raven’s, or bad people like Fang, or sometimes to an early grave, and any parent would intervene to save an innocent life. Though sometimes that meant going to the source, a broken child could only begin to be helped back from evil when the source of the pain or evil was purged or repaired, so that meant a fight. A fight, with Neapolitan herself.

Neopolitan had received a message. A challenge. And she never backed off from a challenge. She moved silently through the foillage, her traces without sound, until she appeared before Summer, stepping towards her, umbrella on her shoulder.

Summer didn’t notice until she looked up and was rather surprised as she slowly stood, her age showing as she felt ages older then she really was. “I doubted you’d show up, and I see my guesses weren’t far off the mark” she says, “you really do look like the ice cream flavor” she says with a giggle.

Neo smirks. Her face pulled into a grin. She flips her hair upon her comment about her ice cream flavor looks. When she was done taunting her face got serious. She looked at Summer withvan icy glare.

“Ruby tries that one to get out of doing her chores” Summer says as she stifles a laugh, lalright, straight to the business” she says as she prepares her attacks in her mind “Let’s see if you’re as good as my girls say” she says.

Neo patiently awaited her attack. She knew summer would be strong. A crowning achievement. So, she had to best her. Neo began to slowly walk towards her.

Summer began her attack, slower then her usual, to try and sell the old woman act, but it was to test the girl before her, Yang would have zero difficulty with such speed from her. And she figured this girl was just as fast, if not more so then Yang, so it was to probe her defenses and find the weakest point to hit.

Neo wad fast to react. But instead of jumping or blocking, she dodged as little as possible, just leaning away from the attack, and striking back.

Summer let herself be hit a few times and feigned weariness as she stepped back, still smiling, she knew well what she was doing, feints of hers could and had fooled even Raven. So she opted to see what she could slip by this girl and find out how this ice cream girl reacted, “I wonder, do you even eat the ice cream you are named for?” She asks.

Neo was smirking. She was fully thinking she had the upper hand. She ignored the question, and launched an all out attack.
