Sonic was walking in the rain. He was running earlier but he stopped when it started pouring. The blue hedgehog knew he wouldn't have much traction running on the wet ground because it would cause him to slip or even spin out

The hero wasn't expecting the sight that he was likely going to bump into.

Amy walked next to Sonic; as they came to a bridge, she got an idea. "Look, Sonic! Maybe we can shelter from the rain in the underpass of that bridge?"

(Forgot to ask. What is Sonic and Amy's relationship in this rp? Similar to Sonic X or slightly different?)

Sonic looked over towards his pink companion and where she pointed at. The blue hero knew he probably that he could easily run back home but Amy did not have his same abilities. He nodded his head as he said , "Ok! Let's go over there."

(I figure for the purposes of this story they officially got together, but let's say it was a recent development)

As they get to the underpass, they come across Chris sitting there alone; he's startled a bit by their sudden appearance. He manages to stammer out a shaky response, still crying. "S-s-sonic..."

Sonic was trying to cover Amy so she wouldn't get as wet on their way to the underpass. He was equally startled when he saw the brunette boy he befriended under this structure looking saddened. "Chris?...... What are you doing here?" the hedgehog boy said in shock.

Chris opened and closed his mouth a few times, trying to get the word out, but he was too afraid. "M-m-mom and dad... th-they found... found my..." Suddenly, he stops short and huddles up tighter, burying his head in his hands. "NO! You'll hate me too!" He cries out in anguish.

Amy, feeling a strange protective urge come over her, walked up to the crying boy and placed a hand on his shoulder to calm him down. "Shh... Chris, whatever it is, you can tell us. You don't have to be afraid. Whatever it is, I won't tell anyone, and I'm sure Sonic won't, either! Right, Sonic?"

Amy gave Sonic a meaningful look, a more serious one than she had shown in a long time, full of concern for the boy and pleading for Sonic to help her comfort him.

Sonic saw the young boy make some effort in his struggles to say some words before stopping himself again. He wondered what happened for him to act so frightened. "Yes?........" the blue hedgehog stated. In his mind, he thought, "His parents? Wonder what happened? "

The heroic individual was about to roll his eyes and make a joke about how Amy was trying to act motherly to impress him like she did during previous times like their encounter with Emerl. "Oh, Ames.... You don't have to impress me......." However, he quickly shut up when he saw her face turn back with that serious look.

Sonic immediately nodded his head. "Yeah. Besides it's not like anyone we know would be that interested in finding out. So you can tell us when you are ready. ..... Um..... How long were you out here?" he stated honestly.

He hesitated, but eventually he managed to compose himself just enough to answer the duo's questions. "S-since yesterday. Sonic, Amy, I... I'm..." He struggled to put it into words, still not entirely sure how to explain or even if he wanted to explain. "I always felt like... like I wasn't ready to be big. Like I wanted to still be... little. S-so I... I bought diapers one day, and... it made me feel safe, like it felt right. But yesterday.... yesterday... M-mom and D-dad..." He failed to hold it in any longer, and began wailing loudly; it was several minutes before he could stop, and even when he managed to get it together he was still shaking and crying heavily. "They c-called me a freak! THEY THREW ME OUT!"

He started wailing again, and this time the sound was so full of despair that Amy felt her heart break for the boy. She wrapped her arms around his head and pulled him in close. "Shh... honey, it's okay... they shouldn't have done that. You are *not* a freak, you're just born differently. Back on Mobius, we have word for ones like you, and it absolutely isn't 'freak'. It's called being a 'little', and it's perfectly normal. I'm so sorry..."

She turns back to Sonic. "What do we do, Sonic? Based on what he said about diapers, I think he might be *very* little--a baby, even!"

Sonic looked at the younger friend intently, ready to listen when Chris finally got himself ready to speak. The blue blur's eyes widened in even more shock at hearing that. "Y-y-y-y-y-yesterday?!?! How did you last out here that long? You must be tired, hungry and thirsty." he stammered. The hedgehog boy was nodding his head as he continued to listen to the rest of the brunette's explanation. He was becoming more saddened at what he was hearing. His ears started to droop a bit in response.

Sonic wasn't sure how to comfort the boy. He wasn't used to handling children during these type of situations. The hedgehog agreed, "Yeah. We have that back at home. It's not a common thing but it does happen enough for us to be aware of it." He wanted to crack a little joke to lighten the mood. "Yeah. I always thought that Tails was kind of a little when I first met him when he was younger."

He saw Amy look back at him. Sonic thought for a bit. "Well, we should probably take him back home first. Then we can decided on the way." the hero suggested.
