Hi all,

Recently in the Shoutbox, many people have been inquiring about how can they start a Role Play (RP). It can be confusing as, AFAIK, there hasn't been an official guide that clearly details the entire process and many of the RP Mod staff haven't been active here for some time. Therefore, I'll try to help out by offering this unofficial guide (Note: I do not personally RP due to the demands on my time IRL, so I may be wrong about some of the details in the process but this is what I've gathered over the twelve plus years that I've been a member here):

1. Create a thread in the "Role Playing Recruitment & Discussion" section (See -> here) and pitch your general idea for a RP. When someone responds, the two of you can further work out the RP details in that thread.

2. Once you've both "Hammered out" the particulars of your mutual RP then create a RP thread in the "Role Playing Realm" section (See -> here) describing the RP in general.

3. PM a RP Mod and let him/her know that you've created a new RP thread and then wait for approval of the RP thread. Currently, the only RP Mod that has been visiting this site recently in this month is Silvertip (The other RP Mods are Nova Shine and FlamingCreeper). If he's not available then you can try PMing this site's Global Mod, LittleLiam117 for approval. AFAIK, LittleLiam117 visits this site daily. If LittleLiam117 is not available then you can try PMing this site's Admin, Stoner, for approval. Stoner usually doesn't handle administrative tasks. He handles technical issues related to the site and with users [eg. - Username changes] but he definitely visits here daily as well).

4. Once your RP thread has been approved, then you and your RP partner can enjoy your RP! Be sure to read and adhere to the RP guidelines explicitly set down by this site's owner, Ai, himself (See -> here).

Addendum:

Unlike the latter steps, the first step mentioned in the unofficial guide above is optional. If you already have a usual Role Play (RP) partner(s) then you can discuss RP ideas with each other via VM or PM rather than create a thread in the "Role Playing Recruitment & Discussion" section. The first step should be performed only if you are new to creating a RP, have not yet found someone to RP with or are looking to discover new RP partners to increase your steady group of usual RP partners.
