Katara, Toph, and the Spirit Nursery (Private with theJozza)
Toph was bored. She and Katara, years and years after their adventures with Aang, were still getting tangled up in spiritual quests, attempting to find, and study these ancient beings. So why was she bored? Because she'd been wandering in the woods for days on end, due to the possibility of finding some "ancient spirit". But something kept her in that forest, giving the blind girl a better sense of direction, as she trudged along to whatever end there was to their journey, with her water-bending companion.

Katara walked beside Toph, her nose in an ancient scroll that was half a map and half a legend. Her hair and clothes were flecked with bits of branch and leaves, as Toph had taken them "off the beaten path" after deciding the map was getting them nowhere.
"Are you sure you know where you're going, Toph?" She asked her companion. "From what I can tell we left the path the map said to take yesterday..."

"There's something I can feel, I can't really explain," She said, "My brain isn't completely made of rocks, I think I know where I'm going..."
As she finished saying that, she bumped face-first into a wooden wall, before falling flat on her rear in the earth below her. "Oww..."

"Toph are you okay?" Katara folds up the scroll and rushes to Toph's side. "Let me help you up." As she puts her hands under the smaller girl's arms she looks up at the building Toph collided with. It's a large but simple looking cabin with a few windows too high for Katara to see through.

"Did we find something?" She asked, her blindness causing her to not really notice anything out of the ordinary. It certainly "felt" to her as if there was the presence of a house in front of her, but for all she knew, it could've been just some shack, "Anything look... off about it? I wouldn't really be able to tell, if you can understand that."

"It's some kind of cabin," Katara says, helping Toph to her feet and taking her hand. She starts walking and leading her to the other side. "It's pretty big, but I can't imagine anyone living all the way out here. Maybe it's someone's retreat?"

"Well, I can't feel anyone in there," She said, before putting her hands against the wall, trying to feel around, "Huh, I can't feel anything in there at all, that shouldn't be possible, unless the inside somehow literally isn't earth... IT'S GOTTA BE THE SPIRIT!"
After that exclamation, a smug look formed on her face, "I told you I felt something."

Katara rolled her eyes at Toph's proclamation, happy that she couldn't see her doing it.
"Toph it's a building, and quite clearly solid," Katara replies calmly, while tapping on the wall. "I'll grant you it might be linked to the spirit, like maybe it's an old shrine or temple to it. Let's find a door and see." The two of them turn the corner and see that there's a large double door on the next wall, but no more windows.

"No, but you don't understand," She said, "Usually, I can feel people in a building, if I'm close enough, and it can resonate with the ground, unless the floors are wooden."
She frowned as she came to the realization, and soldiered on into the building, ahead of Katara, only to begin to levitate, "Uhhhh, K-Katara..." She nervously uttered, "Wh-why can't I feel anything anymore?"

Katara gasped as Toph lifted off the floor, she reflexively moved her hands toward her water flask. But as soon as the cork came off, the water simply dribbled out, not responding to any of her bending motions.
"What the...?" She is cut off by the sound of the door slamming behind them.
