The continual guerrilla war between the outlaw Robin Hood and his erstwhile enemy, Prince John, had certainly continued to escalate to new heights. Just recently he had dared to commit a daring prison break of the notable prisoners Prince John and his lackey, the Sheriff of Nottingham, had rounded up. Along with liberating the hoards of gold acquired through his ruinous taxation policies. To say that the usurper of the throne did not take it well would be an understatement. Because now, his personal vendetta against Robin Hood was about to grow to vicious new lengths. So would Robin's girlfriend and fiance, Maid Marian, find out for herself.

Robin, unaware of the predicament with Maid Marian, was busy spreading wealth to the inhabitants of Sherwood Forest.

Prince John walked alongside the Sheriff as Maid Marian was in shackles on her wrists and ankles, led down to a dungeon below the castle. He could have locked her in a tower, but Robin Hood was too good at climbing and escaping with arrows and lines, like the recent get away with all 'his' money, the prince thought. So hiding her under the castle rather than the normal prison was an easier way to keep her hidden.

Marian was certainly quite scared for herself about what was happening. She tried to wriggle free, but of course the vengeful prince was stronger than her. When they reached the dungeon area, she looked at as she was shackled...extremely tight. She winced at how tight it felt. "What gives you the right to do this to me?!"

(I don't think you meant to say "moaned". Perhaps she winced or grimaced at the pain from the shackles, but saying "moaned" makes it seem like it turned her on to be shackled)

"I am the KING! You foolish girl. And you seem to be the only prize left in my castle that the dastardly Rrrrobin Hood (rolling his R) is after. So you are going to be the perfect bait to catch him!" he says.

Once he and the Sheriff made sure she was shackled and locked behind the prison bars, they left the dungeon.

Marian couldn't help but feel quite crestfallen at that moment. She'd never expected anything like this to occur.

"No way he'll get away from us this time!" the Sheriff gloated as they walked upstairs.

The prince simply grumbled to himself when he heard that from his overgrown waste of space. But he was a good swordsman and scared the town, so he wouldn't be getting rid of him anytime soon.

"Now that she is taken care of, I shall return to my quarters to rest. Do what you do best sheriff. I believe the villagers should have plenty to pay for their taxes" he says then went off to his own room.

The Sheriff certainly couldn't help but feel a sense of delight at that moment, and headed off, humming to himself.

Marian just looked down at the floor, shattered and devastated, silently hoping that Robin would rescue her shortly.

Of course, neither the sheriff nor Marian knew what was about to happen next.

Prince John returned to his bed and put on his long pajama shirt and when no one was looking, started to suck on his thumb.

Robin was still dealing with the folks in Sherwood forest, away from the town. Fortunately the people who received the money were told to bury their gold, hold onto 1 coin, and hide it somewhere obvious like a pot, or under a rug, that way the Sheriff would look, be satisfied, and wouldn't find the buried gold.

Naturally, the crowd of townsfolk didn't need much convincing to hide their gold quite easily.

Little John, Robin's erstwhile partner, couldn't help but smile wanly. "I've got to hand it to you Rob, you certainly know how to come through in times like this. That might have been your masterpiece."

Prince John's often abused but loyal sidekick, Sir Hiss, slithered his way back into bed as well.
