Yu Narukami paces on the subway platform glancing around.

She had just completed her first year at university, which was of course the first step towards her newfound passion of becoming a teacher and childcare professional. Due to an uptick in price for her old apartment she has decided to accept an offer from her old friends to share an apartment. Said friends are Chie and Yukiko, who had just started officially dated a year ago. They'd managed to find a very spacious apartment that had enough space and was priced that the three of them could share the cost comfortably between them. So Yu was on her way to move in.

Or at least, she was supposed to be, because she'd been waiting for Chie on this platform for about an hour now.

"Hey! Yu!" Chie called out as she ran down the platform, huffing and puffing as she approached. She had clearly sprinted here judging by how out of breath and sweaty she was.

"Sorry I- *huff* forgot today was the day you were coming." She said apologetically. "So, how about we get going back to the apartment? Yukiko is cooking up a special dinner" the strong girl proposed as she took the silver haired girl's luggage for her.

"Oh Chie," Yu turns to her quickly replacing her impatient scowl with a smile. "That's all right." This was hardly the first time Chie had been late or kept her waiting, but the girl always did her best to make up for it...usually.

"Oh there's no need to go all out for me..." Yu says as they walk down the street. "We can just get take out or something..." Though in all honesty, she had some concerns about the idea of Yukiko making a meal all by herself...cooking was not that girl's strong suit.

True to form, Yukiko was frantically running around her and Chie's kitchen trying to cook two dishes at once, which was pretty hampered by the fact that said kitchen was an even bigger mess than usual. The two of them rarely cooked and almost as rarely cleaned up. So she was essentially trying to navigate her recipe while also navigating a fair number of old take out containers.

Chie grinned. "No no, trust me, me and Yukiko are really good at cooking now. You'll love her food" she insisted as she hefted the suitcase up the stairs leading into their apartment complex.

Once they arrived they would see that the steaks Yukiko were cooking had caught fire and she was frantically attempting to douse the flames with Worcestershire sauce.

"Well I suppose I can..." Yu shrugs and starts to reply, but then the smell of smoke hits her. They rush inside and see Yukiko struggling to control things. Without a word, Yu surges forward pushing Yukiko aside and out of danger. She shuts off all the cooking devices and douses all the flames with an extinguisher. She then turns to her two new roommates with a look of pure frustration. "You were saying?" She says to Chie and Yukiko, the later of whom is looking at the floor with a bright red blush.

Yu is doing her hardest to remain calm, but with the fires out, she's now free to look around the kitchen...and even without the burnt remains, this place looks like a disaster area.

"Ehehehehe.... well uh..." Chie nervously chuckled. "...How does pizza sound?" She asked, grabbing the menu and practically shoving it at Yu.

Yu takes the menu and sighs.

"Sure that sounds fine," She says, before setting the menu back on the table and looking back up at the two of them. "But before we do anything else we're cleaning up this kitchen." She adds with a particular sternness that she usual reserves for during her student teaching.

Yukiko nods and rushes over to grab some cleaning supplies. Driven by a mixture of embarrassment at causing such a mess, and also because something about Yu's tone of voice seems to strike a chord with her.

Chie didn't seem persuaded by Yu's stern tone. "Yu, come on. Its not *that* bad" Chie said, ignoring the fact the trash needed taking out yesterday, the floor was sticky from unclean spills, and the junk food strewn about the counter tops.

"Not that bad?" Yu says raising an eyebrow as she reaches over for the trash and lifts it out of the can, showing that the bag is about to burst. "Chie I know I just I got here, but this is frankly disgusting. If we're going to eat and prepare food in here it has to be clean. Now are you gonna help or not?" She says, her tone growing sterner and she even seems to reflexively cross her arms and give Chie a demanding look.

Yukiko for her part has already started moving dishes into their already full sink, clearly she's trying to do something, but seems a bit unsure what to do first. It's actually pretty similar to how she was cooking a few moments ago.

Yu's scolding was enough to make Chie fall in line. "Yes ma'am" she grumbled as she began to clean. After just a minute Chie looked just as lost as Yukiko.
