18 year old Luz was exploring the Forest by her house she did this a lot as she wasn't very close to her mother.
But today was different she saw a strange red headed woman go though a door she never seen before so she followers her though and finds herself I'm a forest she didn't recognize.

Luz: where am i?

Edalyn Clawthorne, or Eda the Owl Lady as she was more commonly known, sighs to herself as she carries the latest bag of human tras...priceless collectibles over her shoulder as she heads through the forest towards her house. Her staff in her other hand and her long red hair blowing in the wind. The usually carefree and rebellious witch had been feeling surprisingly listless and frankly bored lately. Also, as much as she hated to admit it, she was starting to think she might be lonely or something. At first she'd just shoved these feelings away, but they were all starting to really annoy her, but she wasn't quite sure what, if anything, she could about it that didn't involve sacrificing her independence...or her pride.

Eda's snapped out of her thoughts by the sound of someone behind her. She reflexively spins around raising her staff and taking a defensive stance. At which point her eyes widen as she realizes two things. First, in her distracted state she'd left her portal to the human realm open. Second, a human had wandered through and was now looking at her. Eda had spent enough time in the human realm to know that the girl looked to be in her late teens, maybe even 18, which if her memory served was the human threshold for adulthood...something very different from how things worked around here...

Luz: Um...hi..I'm Luz...i hope I didn't...um intrude into you're hou...forest?

She said a little confused

Eda lowers her staff, takes a more casual stance, and just stares at her. On the one hand, the easiest and arguable most sensible thing to do would be hit the girl with a memory wipe spell, shove her back through the portal, and go on with her day. After all, just owning this portal and selling human stuff attracted more attention than she'd like, so having an actual human around would probably only make that worse. But on the other hand, this kid was kinda cute, and Eda was suddenly feeling a growing sense of...

"There she is!" A voice cuts through the trees.

"Oh farts," Eda spins around to see several cloaked figures running towards the trees towards them. She whips a key from her pocket and taps an eyeball on it. The portal behind Luz closes, then folds up into a case that flies into her hand. "Better come with me, kiddo," Eda runs at Luz, taking her hand and pulling her along.

"Well first and foremost, for a ride!" Eda says, jumping up and raising her staff. The owl head extends its wings and they rocket into the air. Once they gain a little more altitude Eda swings Luz forward to sit down on the staff in front of her, while also draping an arm around her. She's already feeling a little protective of this human.

The cloaked figures come into the path they two of them had just been standing in. Said figures have white cloaks and bird shaped masks.

"I think she went that way!" One of the Emperor's Coven scouts shouts and points

"Hold on, I saw her take off, I'm not so sure that was The Owl Lady," another scout speaks up. "I mean, whoever it was looked like she had a baby with her..."

Luz: ah! W...we're flying!!!

She said in amazement and shock

Luz: who are you?!

She asked looking back at Eda

"I'm Eda the Owl Lady," she replies with a dramatic flourish with her other hand. "The most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles! Oh by the way, welcome to the Boiling Isles, human," she says turning to gesture at the scene below them.

The two are flying about the tops of the trees, giving Luz a clear view of the Titan's skull on the horizon, though said skull is bright pink and covered in polka dots and what appear to be giant stickers, with multi colored puff balls on its horns. Adding to the view is the small flock of gryphons flying by, and the sight of a giant sea serpent breaching off the coast in their view.

"Anywho, why don't we head back to my place where it's safe," Eda says steering her staff towards a clearing in the forest.

Luz looked at her in disbelief and then amazement.

Luz: you're a witch?!!

"That's right," Eda replies with a wink, while also starting to steer her staff towards the ground. They're landing in front of an average sized cottage with a large circular window in the front. Eda snaps her fingers and the door swings open.

"Now I'm sure you've got a lot of questions," she says, putting her arm around Luz's shoulders and guiding her through the door. "For now why don't you just take a seat and relax," she says gesturing to a couch in the center of a fairly messy living room. Eda then brings her staff closer and whispers to the owl figure on top of it. A moment later, said owl comes to life, takes a small bag of coins from Eda, and flutters off.
