The air is warm with a gentle refreshing breeze, yet holds a heavy weight as Shuichi walks through the academy halls. He would've thought that he'd be over this anxious feeling at this point, and yet it seems that, as they say it, old habits die hard. To be fair to Shuichi, though, he actually had a reason for why his nerves were running as hot as they were. While things seemed relatively normal at school, there was one looming test that may very well change his life as he knew it. No, not a test for his regular classes...

A classification test.

Hope's Peak proposed the idea a while back, where all if its students would complete a test to figure out their roles for... If they were a little, caregiver, or otherwise. "This is to encourage bonding and closeness between one another", they claimed, "but also a way to encourage self acceptance."

Shuichi could... Vaguely understand the concept. Regression and returning to your childhood was a somewhat common form of coping from many things, at least a safer way to compared to other options. Odd? Sure, but he wasn't going to judge someone for it...

When it came to Shuichi being the one doing it, however, that was a different story.

Well, yes, his parent's were rarely around and his uncle had to care for him even with his busy job, but surely it didn't effect find that badly to result in him having to be a baby... did it?

"I don't know, Kaede... I'm just not sure what to expect." Shuichi sighed as he walked and talked along side his dearest friend. Even though they'd be going into separate classes for this test, he was grateful to at least talk with her before so...

"You're worrying about it way too much Shuichi" Kaede smiled. "It's only like, 10% of students who take the test end up getting a classification one way or the other." She hummed. "You'll do fine" she reassured him.

Despite her kind words, Kaede herself wasn't too sure what to make of the test. She both assumed and hoped that she would be classified as neither, and therefore not have to partake in the whole ordeal. Though she found babies pretty cute, she didn't really want to be taking care of one... much less end up one herself.

The bell rang. "Oh shoot! Gotta run Shuichi! Good luck!" Kaede said, dashing off to her class to take the test.

"I suppose that's you're right... Let's just hope that that's the case." Shuichi chuckled weakly. Kaede did have a point, from what he researched the actual likelihood of being assigned something outside of neutral was pretty slim... Not zero, though. He'll just have to hope the odds will fall in his favor, or at the very least get a role that won't be as embarrassing.

With the ring of the bell, Shuichi snapped back to reality. "Ah- right. Good luck to you too, Kaede!" He waved as she ran off. Thankfully he didn't have to rush before making it to his assigned classroom, finding his seat to settle into as others began to trickle in with him.

Kaede hurried into the classroom. She sat down and took out her pencil and began the test. She filled out the 5 page questionnare, answering questions like "do your friends see yoh as the responsible one?" And "did you wet the bed as a child? If so, for how long?" She finished the test quickly, going with her gut and hardly second guessing any of her answers. She handed the test back to the administrator and waited for the results.

With everyone settled into the classroom, they were ready to begin the test. Five pages, and it looked as if most of them were multi-choice with the occasional written section intermixed within. Simple enough of a format, Shuichi was pretty familiar with these types of tests, so that helped ease his nerves some.

At first the questions were relatively undemanding, asking basics such as "Do you prefer to work on your own or with others? If the latter, how so?" and "How do you spend your time outside of curricular activities?" The further Shuichi got into it, however, did it begin to feel more... Specific.

"Do you find yourself gravitating towards more child-like behaviors during times of stress or trauma?" to "Have you found yourself interested in diapers passed the age of potty training?", these were definitely feeling more personal, though Shuichi did his best to answer honestly to the best of his ability. Within the hour, he managed to finish with the others and turned his test in. Time to play the waiting game...

Their tests were taken by the administrator and taken to a separate room to be fed into a grading machine. The students chatted while they waited.

"I don't get why everyone was so nervous, it was like, so easy for me! I think I got ever single question right!" Asahina giggled. As Kyoko nodded her head, not wanting to explain to her the type of test it was.

Half an hour later, the teacher returned and began handing the tests back. Kaede took hers and glanced at the top of the page, where her role had been stamped. It read "CAREGIVER." Attached were instructions for what she needed to do next, such as find a little and attend special caretaking classes.

Shuichi moved to the waiting room where everyone else was, and honestly, he can't tell if being around the others was helping him or not. On one hand, knowing he wasn't the only one going through this regardless of what path he may go down was somewhat comforting. On the other hand, the thought of people being around him during this time made him nervous. What if he was a little? What if they found out?

Well, there was no time to dwell on it. As the teacher came by to give everyone their results, Shuichi eventually received his... And part of him wanted to faint at the sight. He could barely register the rest of the pamphlet's information about how to find a carer and embrace regression, his eyes staring as the bolded [LITTLE] that sat as the top of the page.

Of course. Of course not only did he fall under the ten percent, but he just had to get the role where he was going to be the one being cared for like a baby. Shuichi tried to read the rest of the pamphlet, though his mind was too full of racing thoughts to really absorb much of it.

Kaede blinked. This was... unexpected. Still, she would make the best of her situation. She diligently read the pamphlet. "Great... more classes I have to take... and I have to find my own baby? Where am I going to find one?" She wondered aloud as she walked down the halls towards Shuichi's classroom.

So not only would he have to find someone to be his caregiver, but now some of his new classes were going to be centered around embracing his little side... Great, as if this wasn't embarrassing enough, now he felt even more so unless. What kind of person would want a detective who needs diaper changes?

Too overwhelmed to stay and listen to everyone else's chatter, Shuichi got up and exited from the room, contemplating on what to do next... God, what would Kaede think?

Kaede bumped into him as he was exiting the room. "Shuichi! How did you do on the test?" She asked curiously. He was keeping his paper close to his chest, so she couldn't see his designation.
