Swords and Spells (traveler and Shadow King)

Biography: At the time humes and elves knew nothing of eachother, or perhaps it was merely the humes who were clueless. Either way, it was always when hume children would wander into elven territory that the elves tended to use them to learn about the humes as a race.

Fielhel, as the elves had so named her, was one of these children. She had originally wandered into the elven woods out of hunger, as a poor child without family. When the elves found her, close to death, they gave her food and water, bringing her back to health and then learning of the humes from her.

Once they had learned what they could from her they decided to teach her the elven ways and integrate her into their society as they had some others. They trained her in their martial arts, of which she excelled in the sword. Over time, from remaining around elves for most of her life some of their unique energy seemed to seep into her body, giving her extended life and increased motor functions among many other traits.

After about ten years in their society they tried to teach her magic, as she had absorbed their aura, they felt she may be able to do so. However she failed in magic and in turn turned to the sword for salvation. Now she is beyond any hume who may call themselves a sword master, and travels the wilds in search of both love and a challenger worth her skill.

Weapon: A magic tome holding all her spells. Her brain containing most of that knowledge, only referring to her tome when she is in need. Her hands for casting the basic spells, and a staff for casting the more energy draining ones.

Bio: Delin, a powerful sorceress; but this was not always so. When she was little she showed signs of promise in the magic community, but her parents wouldn't allow her to train, so she was taken away to train, and her parents were killed by those same magicians. Most would wonder why, but the choice seemed simple then. She had no one to go home to, no one for her at home so there was only one way to go, and that way was forward.

She trained in the magicians tower the best she could till she was an official sorceress. Upon her graduation she was given a Tome of spells and an oak staff, oak being the strongest of the magic woods. Once she was on her own though, there was not much to do. She couldn't go back to the tower, she had no family. So out into the world she went. Often she wondered perhaps which side to join; the side of good or evil.

She found it best to stay on the neutral side as she stayed in her travels though out the world. never too good never to evil. At least till show found someone she cared for...........

Fielhel had no fear in her body, no compassion in her heart. Amongst the humes she would only be known as a manslayer, a beast among beasts who tore through her animals like knife through butter.

However the rumors weren't entirely right, she had fear, fear that her power and strength would eventually betray her to her death. She feared that she may not find the love she wanted in this life, someone who could understand her and make her feel comfortable. She always thought this person would be a man, never looking at the possibility of a woman.

It was on this dark, dreary and slightly rainy day that she was to meet her newest enemy. The enemy was said to be a sorceress of great power and beauty, but did not concern the swordswoman. All she wanted was for her enemy to feel the pain of her blade and for that blade to feast on the sorceress' blood.

Delin was practicing her magic in a ear by feild. the spell was for weather change, and like her mood, it was dark and dreary. Clouds formed and pushed away from her. She finally called the spll to a stop. "There that should do it." she said knowing the local farmers had paid her 500 gold to make it rain. It seemed that the farm land had had begun to wither, but she was one not to do a service for free. she stood up from the feild and began on her way to a path.

She didn't know where, when, or how she would come across her next job, she might even had to stur some up just so she could get paid. This 500 gold though, shuold be enough to last her a few days. It was then she noticed a flyer posted on a tree. it read *Wanted Delin Gri. An extremely powerful sorceress. 100,000 gold dead or alive.* she sighed, for where there were posters there were men who wanted to claim them. She waved her hand over the poster anf there the poster burned to ash. "At least my bounty went up." she giggled. she had too to keep her spirits up.

She began on the dirt path once more wondering what surprise might come to her next.....

Unbeknown to Delin it would be a woman, not a man that would come for her head next. Fielhel had heard rumors of a white haired sorceress in these parts, helping out for a rather large amount of gold considering how much these people made a season.

It was not but a few moments after reaching the farmland area of the small town that she saw the woman standing by a tree, and then a piece of paper burned away before her eyes. She quickly drew out her wanted poster of Delin and saw that it was her after all.

Fielhel approached her next target. She had taken up bounty hunting as to live by the funds. She had been risen as a proud warrior, but there was little to no money in being a guard or warrior if you were a woman, and so she took to bounty hunting to survive.

"Delin Gri, I have come to claim your bounty!" she claimed proudly.

Delin gave another sign. not much longer from the poster's burn did someone want to turn her in. She turned her head towards her new found enemy. "I would say that is rather unfair you know my namee and I not know yours." It was then she actually laid eyes on the girl who challenged her. She had dark hair , blue eyes, and her skin was tanish. She looked like a human elf half breed too. "its a shame one sure as yourself wants to take me in, such beauty... but I digress, do you wish me in cuffs, or my head on a plate?" she jested as she brought her hand to a defensive position by her side.

she made note the girl was a sword user and devised ways to get by that fact. If she were to get to close iit might be over wuicker then it would start

"I shall not give my name to a magic user, as it would only become your weapon." Fiehel said reaching behind her to draw the sword on her back. The sword itself was exactly her height, the tip of the hilt reaching her ankle and the hilt slightly above her head. One would think of this as a long ranged weapon with too much weight to use efficiently, and by far too long to draw from it's sheath unless you were a massive person, but Fielhel knew differently. She placed her hand just beneath the guard and with a flick of her arm the bade shot up into the air, spinning about and landing before her.

She drew the sword from the ground and began to spin it around her body in close range, inches from her body. She was using the edge of the katana that was not sharpened to spin it around her arms without cutting herself. It was a practical method to make a long weapon useful in short range, which she had created with the help of the elves overseeing her.

((basically she is using the center of the unsharpened edge of the blade to spin it around her arm as if it were like a staff.))

She looked at the girl. "You are a smart one at that, and you seem very skilled with that sword of yours... She eyes watched the feat, and she found herself getting dizzy. "Well let me show you something." she raised her hand into the air "Frescaria." a white light shot from her hand and surrounded the woman, then it disappeared. It seemed as if nothing happened. "You might not want to step anywhere..." she pointed to the ground beneath the girl. It was frozen solid and covered in ice. "If I were you I would not want to do that, because if you slip I am fairly certain that you will lose an appendage." she began to turn and walk off, "swordswomen... always ones to show off before a simple talk." she mubbled. To be honest she secretly hoped this one might prove to be a bit mroe of a handful then the ones before her.

Fielhel started to laugh at the spell, thinking it hilarious that this sorceress thought she would be stopped by something so minor. In one fluid motion the blade went from twirling about her to being stuck through the ice tip first, she then did a one handed hand stand, using the hilt as her base. She easily jumped over the ice bringing her sword with her.

In the air as she was jumping over the ice she threw three daggers ahead of the sorceress, each one drawing closer to Delin, the last nearly shaving a hair or two off her head. "Did you think a little ice could stop me?"

Delin turned around a bit surprised that this one made if over the barrier, and was eve more surprised by the daggers. it seemed this one was a bit of a ninja as well. She watched her hair hit the floor, then looked up at the girl "To be honest? yes I thought the ice would stop you because you never can tell an amateur from the adept in the mercenary business." she said "But I promise not to make suck a mistake again. Clearly someone skilled like yourself desires more out of a battle then." she said taking a stance once again "fieara." she chanted. both of her hands caught fire, but the fire seemed not to harm it; she then threw fire balls from her hands towards the other woman "Catch." she smiled thinking if the woman could make it past level 2 she might be a candidate for her more.. experimental spells
