First of all, it is HOT liquids (At or near boiling temperature) that can cause polycarbonate plastic to leach out BPAs not WARM (Slightly cooled off) liquids. Then there is the possibility that those particular bottles that are used to feed babies warm liquids are NOT made from polycarbonate plastic (If it says "7" inside the recycle code that is underneath the plastic bottle, then it is made from polycarbonate plastic). There are seven types of plastic that can possibly be used to make a baby bottle, with four of them being safe ->
http://www.livestrong.com/article/15...-i-safely-use/ Types "1", "3" and "7" are dangerous because they respectively release antimony (Possible carcinogen), phthalates (Cause reproductive problems) or BPA (Possible carcinogen and agent of cardiovascular disease). Maybe those particular bottles that you mentioned have a "2", "4", "5" or even "6" each inside their recycle code, so no harm there. It is also possible that those particular bottles/sippy cups are made of glass ->
http://www.theglassbabybottle.com/bp...ppy-cups.shtml Like the old saying goes "Sometimes the old ways are the best ways". I find that saying also true for diapers: Cloth diapers are softer than disposable diapers (I've tried both and once I tried cloth, I've never gone back to disposables).
