In the year 1990, a monumental discovery rocked the world. The Antarctic ice shelf, long thought to be devoid of any civilization was found to be the home of an underground reptilian civilization that bore a remarkable resemblance to dinosaurs. These sapient dinosaurs had technology similar to that of Humans and were given full Human rights within weeks of their contact with Humans. Antarctica was given over to the Mesozoicans — as the sapient dinosaurs called themselves — as a country. Most Mesozoicans were small theropods, Gallimimus, Compsognathus and other smaller dinosaurs. Interestingly, there was also ranching of specially bred dwarf versions of herbivores for food.

And so, Humans and Mesozoicans coexisted relatively peacefully.

In 2030, technology and computers have finally integrated into everyday life in the most intimate way possible: as implants and augmentations. Humans and dinosaurs could transcend their biological limits and become seamless hybrids of flesh and machine. Unfortunately, as a side effect, corporations became so powerful that they rivaled sovereign countries in some aspects. Indeed, some particularly large companies were even capable of raising military forces on par with those of a small country.

Despite that and the income inequality, all was well until one high ranking corporate executive found out that a family member of his committed suicide when it was leaked out that they were an ABDL. Distraught over his loss, he uses his considerable power among the government to have it and other sex toys banned as a threat to societal morality. As he was responsible for getting the majority of the politicians into power, they acquiesced to his demands.

And so, in 2034, the Anirut-Lenka Bill — popularly known as the Adulting Act — passed unanimously in the United States. This act made the production and possession of adult baby paraphernalia and sex toys punishable by fines of up to $100,000 minimum or a jail term of a minimum of six months per item. The only exemptions were for research and medical purposes and those were rarely granted.

Diapers were also subject to the law. No manufacturers could produce diapers that were designed to fit anyone over the age of five years with the exception of medical purposes. Those who did manufacture said diapers were required to be registered with the government and keep track of their inventory. Individuals were forbidden from possessing said diapers as well unless they had a certified letter from a medical professional as well as a valid prescription. The punishment was the same as for ABDL paraphernalia and one pack of diapers counted as a single item; at least on paper. In practice, it was common to charge suspects with one count of possession per diaper. Leading to fines totaling in the hundreds of millions of dollars or jail terms centuries long.

Due to a surprisingly large demand for ABDL paraphernalia, diapers and sex toys despite their illegality, a variety of criminal elements have sprung up to supply the demand.

Thoron. A high-tech city famed for its industrial might, sleek monolithic skyscrapers and bright lights. Those are the pictures featured on all its tourism brochures.

But there is another, seedier side to the industrial port city. Because of its status as a worldwide shipping hub, millions of tons of cargo are moved through its docks every day. And as a result, it has also been a hotbed of smuggling. But for those of a domestic bent, there are also plenty of illegal goods produced by the local artisans of Thoron; many of whom are highly educated scientists and technicians working in Thoron's famous pharmaceutical or research industries and looking to make some extra cash.

This activity has long been a stain on the technological city's image but with the passage of the Anirut-Lenka Bill, it has exploded into an industry rivaling the electronics industry.

Blue growled softly as he looked at his paycheck. His long, stiff tail swished in agitation. His real name obviously wasn't Blue, but he looked so much like the raptor of the same name from Jurassic World that all his friends and coworkers referred to him as such. Granted, he preferred the Human coworkers call him that instead of trying to pronounce his Mesozoican name...which had several sounds that cannot be produced by a Human without an artificial aid.

He couldn't believe what was happening. His hours had been cut and he had barely enough money to pay the rent in his apartment.

The Deinonychus looked around his apartment. The apartment was wall to wall with cheap dark blue carpeting and off-white wallpaper. The kitchen had a special roughed concrete surface installed for Mesozoicans so they wouldn't slip on it.

Blue turned his eyes to a brown paper bag sitting on his sofa. He went up to the window, peering outside at the skyscrapers lit up by the advertisements plastered on their glass facades. He drew the blinds and opened the bag.

A familiar scent wafted past him as he reached inside and pulled out four adult diapers. Two were Human configured and two were for Mesozoicans. Interestingly, one diaper in each batch had a playful cloud pattern on it. Apparently, the Anirut-Lenka Bill did not prohibit patterns on diapers. And his company had listened to the complaints of their customers who wanted patterned diapers.

He chittered in delight. This could cover his rent and maybe have a little extra to spare for...whatever he wanted.

Blue looked at the clock on the wall.

As Blue was having such trouble ,Blues human coworker who those at work has for obvious reasons call him Owen as a joke just because he prefers the company of none humans over human company.Still he had just a day before taken Blues offer moved in it was mainly for the two was rather close friends by now and both figured paying half the rent and half the utilities bill would be good but both of them are in a similar problem while Blues hours was cut thereby money cut aswell Owens pay was cut but not hours ,resulting in him doing some side work chooses in the way Blue is

There was knock on the door.

Blue got up and quickly stuffed the diapers back into the plastic bag and stuffed them under his couch. The last thing he wanted was for someone to send a tip to the cops and him getting slapped with a 400 grand fine or a two year jail sentence for possessing diapers without a prescription.

The knocking grew more insistent.

"I'm coming!" The Deinonychus got up and opened the door, revealing his coworker at AB&L Hygiene, "Owen".

He swished his tail as the Human entered his room. "So, Owen," Blue said as he sat on the couch and curled his tail around himself. "Ready to discuss the housing arrangements?"

''OF course I'm ready but um if I'm gone long hours or the like don't call that I'm missing, okay?''Owen requested as between these two its no secret Owen has done some seedy things to get by at times when he really needed cash to live for another week or even month given the rates of living and other matters Owen does what he must to get by . Besides Blue can work with this easy enough as with one planning to sell diapers and one who has done seedy and illegal things well they are the perfect people to share a place and can work together to get extra cash.

Blue nodded. He knew damn well what Owen was doing in those times. "Okay," he said.

The Deinonychus blew some air through his nostrils and his tail swished slightly. "Owen, I have something to show you. Now remember, I really trust you, so please keep quiet about it."

He carefully reached under the couch and extracted the paper bag and dumped out the contents. There, sitting on the couch like gold ingots were four diapers. "I swiped these from the lab. I simply reported them as having been used in tests and destroyed."

''God dang ''Owen said lowly as if Blue is going to do what he things is done well diapers solid how Owen is thinking can net them a lot of money so long as their isn't a squealer or a undercover person they come across

''We can make a lot of money off just one of those ''Owen may not be a material person but he does keep up with what you can sell for what amount on the streets for when he needed cash or needed to do something to get rid of a problem

''So um want me in on helping you ?''Owen asked after a moment of letting the matter that his friend who to his knowedge hasn't done anything like this before did this

Blue scraped his claws together. Owen was right; he was a virgin at this. "Um, yeah. I'm not exactly sure how to turn this into money. I mean, I did consider selling them online on one of those shady forums hosted offshore."

He lowered his tail. "Hell, I barely did any research on this. I mean, I know that printed diapers tend to fetch a premium."

(OOC - I wonder how we can get diapers more directly involved and show some cybernetics? Maybe they join up with some people who are cyborgs, wear diapers for fun and/or both?)

''Do you want to do this the safer way joining a group and getting less from it or we do this on our own? Both have pro's and cons you know''Owen said on the matter as he has done both granted when in groups he never officially joined any

(That sounds good on both matters to me maybe even have them involved in illegal vr tech rooms for ABDL stuff as even the cyber enjoyment for ABDl's aren't safe to enjoy when it comes to the law)

Blue wrung the feathers on his arms. "Um, I'm not sure. I'm not sure if I'm ready to take a leap into the group thing yet."

He looked at the bag of stolen diapers leaning against the wall. "I mean, I already took the first step by stealing diapers from my workplace but those big groups...they're...different."

The Deinonychus was referring to the larger ABDL cartels. Despite their seemingly innocuous goods, they could be just as violent as any other organized crime group. Hell, he had seen diapers being loaded onto armored trucks and flanked by armed guards.
