RWBY: The Invisible Problem (Private for ABAvery)

The sun was shinning and it was a beautiful cloudy morning! Everything seemed perfect and nothing seemed wrong! Ruby bounced up and out of bed, "Hey team!" shouted Ruby, "Time to get up! We got a busy day today!" exclaimed the small girl as she bounced up and down excitedly, "We have classes! And then we can get some training done! And then maybe we could watch a movie together and bond as a team or maybe we could explore the school some more or even the town!" stated Ruby bubbling with excitement and a huge grin on her face as she looked at each of her team-mates.

Yet inside Ruby didn't feel excited, happy or energised at all but she needed to keep up a front towards everyone because she didn't want anyone realising the truth of how she was feeling lately. Ruby could easily pretend to be confident, charming and a ball of energy but after a month of being ditched and not feeling as if anyone wanted her around, well, small signs were starting to show. Ruby's eyes had started to sparkle less and less, her appetite had slowed down and her grades had falling slightly but it wasn't as if anyone took notice of her, after all, she did annoy a lot of people with her incredible amount of energy.

Professor Ozpin had been keeping track of each student individually and made several notes about any improvements and dis-improvements that had been happening. Every week he would mark each student personally and by the end of the month he would total up there individual marks. These marks were private and would only be giving to teacher's to keep an eye on any students he deemed to be vulnerable.

Professor Ozpin took note of a few and shook his head slightly at seeing Jon. The boy was improving but he needed to become more self-assured but that would take time and he would grow soon enough but what caught his eye was Ruby's score. Ruby had impressed him and had continued to do so but each day this past month he had noticed the tiredness, lack of hunger, lack of attention in class, lack of motivation and depression that the young girl was going through but he had kept out in hopes someone would notice and talk to her but they hadn't. Professor Ozpin was disappointed in team Ruby's team-mates and in particular Yang for not seeing this but he wasn't going be to harsh considering how well Ruby managed to hide all this! Hell! He wouldn't of noticed himself if he hadn't kept tabs on the girl! She could be rather tricky at times.

Blake woke up with a loud yawn and looked over at Ruby with a small frown as she got up out of bed, "Could you be a bit more quiet in the morning, please?" asked Blake, softly as she fixed her bow a little.

Ruby smiled at Blake, "Sure! I'll try my best, promise!" exclaimed Ruby as she looked over at Yang and jumped on her bed, "Hey get up!" giggled Ruby with a huge grin on her face wanting Yang's attention, badly. Would Yang notice her eyes? Would Yang notice her at all? Or would Yang just find her annoying? Ruby stared at her sister curiously awaiting to see what Yang was going to do as she pressed Yang's nose with her finger, "Boop!" giggled Ruby as she kept her smile.

Yang and Weiss both groaned as they got up
"Yes... yes... I'm up sis..." Yang smiled gently but she could tell Ruby wasn't feeling her best. It was her job as a big sister to find out what was happening, and she made sure nothing would get in the way. She had noticed before today, but it was much more visible right now, perhaps because Ruby had also just awoken and her guard was a bit down. She wrapped her arms around Ruby, hoping the embrace would make her feel just a bit better. But then Weiss cut in.
"Ruby you dolt! Don't you realize how rude and obnoxious you are in the mornings?! Girls like me need their beauty sleep which seems to be something you don't understand."
Yang didn't even notice as her eyes reddened at Weiss's comments.

Ruby flattered slightly at hearing Yang and Weiss groaning but she quickly picked herself up or at least tried to! She needed to be in high spirits! She was the captain! The leader! The person in charge of making sure everything stayed on task and that the team worked perfectly together! She needed to keep her energy up! Upon hearing Yang speak and smile, Ruby, couldn't help but beam even brighter at her sister! Ruby started to laugh loudly the moment Yang hugged her because if she didn't she might of cried instead and she couldn't cry in front of Yang or the other's. She couldn't let them see her cry, she couldn't let them see her break apart and she couldn't allow herself to fall but her laughter did stop for a moment as she allowed her to enjoy the hug.

Ruby still had self-confidence issues over Yang and while Yang was her sister she wasn't sure if Yang wanted to be around her. She still remembered the first time she got here and Yang had just ran off and left her behind. Did Yang still feel like that? Weiss didn't like her then and while they still weren't on great terms she hoped, deeply, that they could be friends and Blake was still so quiet at times. They worked well as a team but she normally found herself around Jon or by herself a lot of the time.

Ruby's eyes shined brightly with pain at Weiss's comment. She hadn't meant to be rude or obnoxious! Ruby wasn't quiet sure how to respond but she needed to keep up her act and show that Weiss's comment hadn't gotten to her! So. She laughed, loudly.

Blake had gotten out of bed at this point and had frowned, "You can be such a brat at times Weiss." stated Blake putting on her uniform. She was still trying to get a feel for everyone and while everything did seem okay Blake could tell that there were underlining problems with all of them but that would sort itself out in due course or at least she hoped.

Dolt? Thought Ruby to herself as she partially became loss in her thoughts as she continued to hold onto Yang no longer laughing, loudly, "We need to get ready for class!" stated Ruby, softly, not in the mood to bicker with Weiss again as she broke the hug off and got dressed as well making sure her that Yang, Blake and Weiss could only see the back of her. Ruby knew that she was losing weight and it was starting to show slightly on her stomach and she didn't want the other's worrying or finding out.

Ruby took a deep breath to try and remain calm as she put her school shirt over her and got dressed, completely, before turning around and striking a pose whilst grinning, "Let's go and get something to eat!" giggled Ruby, "Can't go to class on an empty stomach, right!" exclaimed Ruby but she wasn't going to eat anything.

Yang sighed as her sister let go. She was acting so strange, not letting them see the front of her. "Sis... why don't you go on ahead? I need to talk with our team mates really quickly... its a suprise for you so naturally you can't be in here to hear it, okay?" Yang asked, trying to word it in a way that made it sound like Ruby wasn't just unwanted. She was worried for her sister, and wanted to make sure Ruby felt alright.
Weiss sighed as she got up "Too late now... sorry Ruby" she quickly apologized as she gathered her clothes for the day.

Ruby smiled brightly at her sister, "Yeah! Sure! I'll save you guys a table!" replied Ruby cheerfully, "No problem!" laughed Ruby to Weiss, "I'll see you guys in a bit!" responded Ruby leaving the room and walking away, quickly, down the hall.

Yang wanted to surprise her? But why? She didn't deserve any surprises? It must be trick? She didn't deserve anything! She was an awful leader. Ruby slowed down as she headed to the hall and sighed softly. Was it really a surprise? Or did Yang just wanted her out? Were they laughing at her? Were they talking about her? Ruby sat down at a table as she became more depressed about the entire situation. Maybe she should stop worrying? But she couldn't! She felt anxious! She took note of the different teams in the hall eating and chatting away and having a good time together and suddenly she felt alone, more alone then she had ever been before.

Blake looked at Yang the moment Ruby left, "A surprise?" questioned the black-haired girl not entirely convinced that Yang wanted to plan a surprise for Ruby, "Is something up?" asked Blake leaning against the wall looking at Yang with a raised eyebrow.

(Another good way to remember is he's based off of Joan of Arc, a french woman. So you use the french spelling Jaune)
Yang smiled at her sister as she left, trying to make the girl feel good.
"Xiao Long, what the hell are you planning?" Weiss asked unhappily "I'm hungry and I'd rather not be talking about some stupid party or something you want for Ruby."
Yang growled at Weiss, her eyes reddening again, and slapped the girl "Don't you fucking dare talk about my sister like that, Schnee..."
Weiss looked shocked and held a hand up to her cheek
"Now... as I was going to say, it's incredibly obvious to me that my sister is feeling down. And a certain little princesses comments aren't helping in the slightest. You girls couldn't possibly know her like I know her, so maybe you didn't notice. She hasn't eaten as much, and I'm sure we're going to find her with an empty plate when we get there, if she has a plate at all. "

Blake could only watch as the entire scene unfolded in front of her and gasped as Yang slapped Weiss, okay, Weiss was a brat and kinda deserved it but still! She wasn't sure if Weiss deserved that kind of a slap! A spanking on the other hand she could see but she would rather stay out of complicated matters but it seemed that she had little to no choice considering who her team-mates were.

Blake placed her hand on Weiss's shoulder to offer the girl some form of comfort even though Yang spoke the truth, "I had noticed a difference but I wasn't sure what it was, "admitted Blake, "but what do you want us to do about it? I mean it's not as if we have much control over what Ruby feels and I doubt there's much we could do to help? Unless you have a plan?" stated Blake looking at Yang while she kept her hand on Weiss's shoulder.

In the hall Ruby continued to sit alone at the table as she awaited for her team to arrive. Where were they? Ruby sighed as she continued to look at other teams and had to hold herself from running away as her horrendous thoughts swarmed her mind.

Professor Ozpin continued to watch Ruby and the rest of her team-mates with great interest and couldn't help but smile at the fact that Yang had noticed her sister's problem. Hopefully Ruby would be able to get out of her slump.

"Well you could start with, especially you Weiss, being just a bit kinder to her? Blake, you shpuld remember how you felt when you revealed that you're a faunus to us, you got scared, confused, and you ran. If it weren't for Ruby, we wouldn't have been able to take on Torchwick and help you and Sun."
"What about me? That dolt hasn't done anything worth while for me yet" Weiss retorted, obviously having not fully learned her lesson as Yangs hand flew once more but stopped just before hitting her this time
"You being nice to her will leave your perfect little face unbruised... mmkay?" Yang threatened, causing the white haired girl to gulp and nearly storm off
"Now depending on how far it.goes, I may need to take Ruby away for a little while, I just wanted to make sure you all knew that. Now lets go join our leader because she probably thinks were talking behind her back now"

Blake sighed and felt slightly guilty, "I do," replied Blake, quietly, "it might be good for her to get away and spend some time with you, really, you two are sisters after all and this environment might be bringing her down a lot," continued Blake, "she is younger then us, after all and possibly might not be able to handle herself like the rest of us? That doesn't make her weak but that does make her more vulnerable." stated Blake glancing over at Weiss before returning her gaze back to Yang, "Yeah don't want her worrying." added Blake following Yang out of the room.

Ruby sat alone and it had been quite some time already! Where were they? Ruby looked towards the door and sighed. They must of ditched her! Ruby rubbed at her eyes as she tried her best to keep it together.

Cardin looked over towards Ruby and started to snicker to his group, "Watch this." whispered Cardin picking up a piece of pass and crushing it into a ball before throwing it at Ruby's head. Ruby was jolted out of her thoughts as the paper ball was thrown at her head. Ruby looked behind her with a glare, "Who threw that!" shouted Ruby, loudly, only to see Cardin laughing loudly with his group.

Ruby's entire face turned red only to sigh as she turned away from Cardin. What was the point, really?

Yang sighed and nodded in agreement with the faunus and exchanged a quick glance with Weiss who was glaring a bit. Once they made it to the lunchroom she rushed over to where Ruby was and sat next to her "Hey Rubes... you alright? You are going to LOVE your suprise" she smiled "You know we all care a lot about you right? And how devastated any of us would be if anything happened to you?" She asked Ruby
