Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on DiaperedAnime:

Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising.
Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts)
Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising.
Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!

Reply to PM not quoting (Capturing previous text from) sender.

Hi!

I just replied to a friend's message in PM. I had clicked on the "Reply" (Reply with quote) button which should have added my friend's message into the body of my reply message but the system did not do so (I just saw a blank message before I began typing my reply message). Can someone (Probably Stoner) please investigate this problem? I prefer to keep a history of the "Back and forth" communications within a single PM (I tend to delete older PMs so that my mailbox doesn't fill up too quickly), so this function is vital for a user like me. Thanks~!

Hey everybody,

Here's an update: Stoner investigated the problem by sending a reply to a test PM that I sent to him last Friday. When I opened it today, I saw that the text from my original PM was quoted in the body of his reply PM and when I replied to his reply PM, I noticed that the system quoted all of the previously sent text (My original and his reply). So it appears that this problem is now resolved. All we can hope is that it doesn't creep up again [Knocks on wood]. Thanks to Stoner for looking into the problem~!

Hi again,

Sorry to bother you but was something updated on this site? I'm just asking because I just created a reply PM to a friend after clicking on the "Reply" (Reply with [message] quote) button and the same problem has occurred again (The original sender's message was not quoted in my reply PM). It looks like some code got "Stepped on". Can someone (Most likely Stoner) please investigate and remedy the problem? Thank You!

I just logged out, cleared the cookies and cache in Firefox v.61.0.1 (Latest version), logged back in, tried to reply to a friend's PM as a test and saw that the problem still occurs. I have sent you a test PM. Please reply to it and see for yourself whether my message text is quoted in your reply PM. Thanks!

its strange because lve never had any issues with it happening and l use the same browser.

there is always the possibility that one of your addons could be affecting the page somehow.

That's odd. I haven't installed any third party add-ons since Firefox Quantum was released. Before that, I used to install third party add-ons like DownThemAll! but since DownThemAll! isn't supported in Firefox Quantum (The new version of Mozilla's browser), I just use the standard add-ons that are included with any fresh install of Firefox Quantum. I saw your reply message to my previously sent test PM and can see that you are not experiencing the problem (Your reply PM quoted my original message). Thank You for investigating the situation.

Well, for those peeps out there that are also experiencing this problem, there is a work-around that you can perform which will mimic the functionality that is probably coded in the click() method of that "Reply" button in the PM system:

1) Open the PM to which you want to reply and position your mouse cursor at the beginning of the message text.

2) Hold down your [left] mouse button, drag the mouse downwards and highlight all of the message text.

3) Within the text highlighted, click on the right mouse button. A shortcut menu will appear.

4) In the shortcut menu, click on "Copy" to copy all of the highlighted text into the Windows Clipboard.

5) Click on the "Reply" button in the PM to start your reply message.

6) In the empty Message editbox (Assuming that you are experiencing the problem described in this thread), type the QUOTE
tags (Note - Do not type the quotation marks in this example. They are just present to prevent the tags from being acted upon by the system): '['quote']''['/quote']'

7) In the first QUOTE tag, type the equal sign and the original PM sender's username. For example: [quote=Tammy_the_Test_User].

8) Position your mouse cursor in between the QUOTE tags and click on the right mouse button. A shortcut menu will appear.

9) Click on "Paste" to copy all of the message text that was previously saved into the Windows Clipboard, directly in between the quote tags.

Afterwards, you can write your reply message with the original sender's quoted message included, preview and then send it.

Here's a bonus for all you fellow "Rick and Morty" fans:
