Roleplay Etiquette and tags: IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ BEFORE JOINING ANY ROLEPLAY

To clear up any confusion about roleplays and how to join them I have created this very short guide.

All new roleplays must now be tagged in the thread title to avoid confusion. Please PM a mod or admin with a link to your thread(s) asking for a tag to be added to it

1. (closed), (private) or (for [member name]) means that the roleplay is PRIVATE if you wish to join it you must PM the thread starter for permission - if they do not reply or say no you must not post in that thread. For example, a roleplay called "Diaper School" that is private would have a title of "Diaper School (closed)". (note: for those who create closed roleplays please note in the opening post the member names of those who can participate within the closed roleplay, if new members obtain permission to join via PM please use the edit feature to add their names which will make it easier for staff to sort out offenders who barge in, this should make things easier for staff to deal with)

2. (open) Anybody can join these roleplays at any time with no permission needed however disruptive posts will be ignored and removed. For example, a roleplay called "Diaper School" that is public would have a title of "Diaper School (open)".

3. Untagged - PM the thread starter for permission to join and ask them to PM a mod/admin to add a tag to the thread. Do not just barge in.

What to do when it goes wrong:

1. If an uninvited member posts in a (closed) roleplay please a) carry on roleplaying, ignoring the post (add a out of character short statement in brackets saying you are ignoring it so other roleplay participants know) and b) click the report button asking for the post to be removed. Please also private message the member who tried to join in telling them that the roleplay is private and a link to this thread

2. If member is posting disruptevely in an (open) roleplay please a) carry on roleplaying, ignoring the post (add a out of character short statement in brackets saying you are ignoring it so other roleplay participants know) and b) click the report button asking for the post to be removed. Please also PM that member telling them that their post in the roleplay is disruptive and a link to this thread

Members who continue to barge into roleplays or post disruptively in free for all roleplays will be given infractions on their account which can lead to restricted access, temporary bans or permanent bans.

Roleplaying Content:

1. No forced actions in RPs. (eg check to see if the other party is comfortable with a more extreme scenario etc either at the start of the roleplay, through ooc comments or through private message)

2. Sex is fine as long as everyone in the roleplay is comfortable with it, however all characters must also be of a legal age (18+) and this must be clearly stated in the first post of the roleplay.

3. Rape (any non-consensual sex, sex acts, sodomy etc) is strictly prohibited in all roleplays with no exceptions. All sex scenes must be 100% consensual between the all characters involved (not just the roleplayers).

Persistent offenders will be banned - permanently.
To clarify: (From the characters point of view, not the roleplayers) Non-consensual discipline style scenes are fine, Non-consensual sex acts are not.

Advice to new roleplayers:

1: Remember, you're among freinds.
You've found a group of people who have the same interest as you. No one is going to attack you for an Rp. If they do i'll get them for you ^_^.

2: Start small.
Don't jump right into a long, established Rp. Start off with a small, private Rp between you and other person, so you can figure out just what you want to do with a character. Thats how I got started off with Hrtofdrkns. Don't stick a "can I join?" post in the middle of a spanking scene. Send in a request through a private message.

3: Talk to people.
We're not going to bite your head off. Most love hearing from new people and are always open for a new roleplay - throw ideas about in Role Playing Recruitment & Discussion if you're not sure about anything.

s first thing I want to know if it has a title but does not say privete is it ok to jion with out asking. thats the only thing I dont understand also if a person reports a post that they did is that counted agest them becouce I need to remove those from thread I did it in

What you should be doing, Ichigo, before you join a roleplay, whether it's private or not, is ASK the person running the RP if you can join. Unless it says it's open, you should assume that it's private.
