Taking the next step: a Tiffany story

Tiffany lay in her hospital bed, still exhausted and still very sore, although not as disheveled as she had been yesterday, but considering the circumstances, no one could blame her. It hadn't even been one full day since Tiffany had given birth to her first baby, but she felt like this had been going on for a week now, 36 hours of labor, one epidural, and the fear of getting an episiotomy had finally produced a healthy baby girl at 10:04PM on June 1st, as Tiffany and her husband Ethan(Spud) welcomed Crystal Merie Holling, whom they nicknamed Starline, which was the name of the hotel they stayed at during their honeymoon and which Crystal was conceived.

"Oh man..............why didn't anyone tell me that childbirth feels like someone taking a jackhammer to your vagina" Tiffany lamented as she struggled to slowly sit up.

Tiffany was now twenty seven years old, a far cry from the naive teenager she had been when she first met Spud ten years ago, but time and tide changes everyone, she had grown up, gone off to college to study music, even being accepted at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York city as an undergraduate, before taking on a brief career as a concert pianist and composer. She and Spud had continued to date while in college, eventually getting married after a lengthy engagement, but once Tiffany found out she was pregnant, she decided to put her career on hold for a while and raise a family.

Tiffany was still getting used to the idea of being a mom, having not quite embraced it yet, and dealing with the early stages of postpartum hormonal adjustment. The baby was currently asleep for the moment, although that wouldn't last long, since she woke up every two hours to be fed, and was developing a habit of lengthy crying. Tiffany took this short reprieve to reflect on everything that had happened in the last two days, and everything that lay ahead for them.

As the morning sun was peeking through the window on the third floor of her room, Spud quietly came through the door with coffee and a bag of donuts in his hand, fresh from the cafeteria, with a scent that was intoxicating to Tiffany, as he came over to greet his wife with a kiss.

"how are the wonderful ladies of my life doing?" Spud spoke smooching her

"Shh, she's asleep. I on the other hand feel like I've been run over by a truck, my crotch is killing me, my back is still aching, I'm exhausted, I haven't taken a shower in almost three days, my hair is a mess, and my boobs feel like two sacks of wet sand ever since I started lactating" Tiffany rambled on as she reached into the bag for one of the donuts.

"Other than that, things are great" she said munching on a chocolate glazed with sprinkles "Did you phone your folks and let them know they have a grandchild?"

"kinda, cause you know I don't have parents, I did phone yours tho, so want me to diaper you now or later, doc said that delivery made your legs numb from medicine so it's best you stay sitting, besides you know how much I love my baby wife" Spud told her and Sat down on the bed next her gently brushing her long messy golden hair, she could hear his heart beat

"I kinda figured Mom, Dad, and the 'sistwerp' would be heading our way, still, it's over a hour drive from Belview, so I'm sure we have some time" it felt good to hard Spud brush out her hair, the calming strokes of the soft bristles helped Tiffany relax.

"I guess you forgot, I've been diapered ever since I gave birth, the stress of delivery temporarily pinched a nerve, leaving the floodgates to my bladder wide open, the pain killers from the epidural have worn off, so it's easier for me to walk now, but I'm still pretty sore down there" Tiffany reached down to her crotch as if to check the state of it's condition.

"Crap!....and I'm wet already. I guess the baby isn't the only one who's going to be in diapers for awhile." Tiffany sighed in annoyance "Honey, are you all right?" noticing the thunderous beats from his chest.

"of course, as long I'm with you, So want a change?" He asked kissing her cheek

"Guess I need one *oof* just be gentle down there and make sure to use the Tucks" Tiffany said, adjusting herself on the bed.

"I really hate these hospital diapers, they're so uncomfortable, wish I had thought to bring some of my own brand. With the way this kid's been pressing against my bladder for the last two months, wearing diapers has been a necessity rather then a choice"

*Ripps the tabs opening*

"Oof sorry for doing that to you, the price of life" Spud whimpered seeing the damage

"I love you" he shrugged knowing this was trouble

"Love you too, honey" Tiffany said, smiling up at Spud, laying back on her bed.

Spud gently cleaned her up, taking extra care when wiping her private parts, the Tucks helped with the swollen tissue around her vagina, but pretty much everything down there was red and stretched out. He gave her rear end a quick wipe down and slipped a new diaper under her, fastening it in place. Tiffany sat back up, fixing her hospital gown, one of the most unflattering garments she had ever worn in her life, before resuming eating her donut.

Almost as if on cue, a slight rustling was heard from the clear plastic hospital bassinet, followed by whimpers, and then an ear piecing "WAAAAHH!"

"Guess who's awake" Tiffany sighed, setting down her half eaten pastry and taking a swig of water to wash it down, "She's probably hungry, will bring her over to me, Spud"

Tiffany got herself ready, placing a nursing pillow on her lap and slipping off one side of her cloth gown, exposing her engorged breast, which was already dripping with white droplets from her darkened red nipple. Spud brought the baby over to his wife, placing her in her arms, as she propped up the infant, nuzzling her up to her waiting boob, as Crystal latched on, after gnawing around a bit, trying to locate the teat, barely opening her eyes as she suckled noisily.

"Hungry little thing aren't ya?" Tiffany smiled, watching her baby suck on her tit. "This is the weirdest feeling, it's like having a mini vacuum stuck to my boob"
