The Final Duel...? (Private w/zero2501)

Dark clouds loomed across the once viridian landscape, the crack of thunder booming across the now desolate lands. The atmosphere was dry, so dry, yet the skies above crackled with the promises of rain - it is as if the world itself was holding it's breath on the fated battle that was going to occur at this place.

A few, brave adventurers have, on this day, took it upon themselves to challenge the dark ruler of this world, who has tormented the souls of this world with their evil conquest. Just looming ahead of the two, was the lair and castle of the all-knowing dark lord and her minions; or, at least, that would be what everyone would think of them as....

as it went on, the 2 adventurers were close to the room where the lord was in, only to be stopped by no other than her second in command and preffered maid "I apologize but I won't let the mistress deal with such insignificant creatures like you 2" she said, in a neutral tone, preparing to attack.


almost quickly, the ground around the 2 heroes started to shake, a giant whole being open in the hopes of devouring them so they won't be able to become an inconviniance.


as the 2 were falling, the mage casted a spell, levitating the 2 so they couldn't fall, looking at the hero so they can now go forward and attack the maid

“Hey, Lucy, go ahead!” One of the girls remarked, her dark crimson hair fluttering in the shockwave caused by the attack, an aura of light forming around her as she prepared her counterattack “Someone like this should be easy for me to deal with! You just go ahead and fight the demon lord.”

looking a bit worried, lucy nodded, as she prepared to run to the room the demon lord was supposedly in. unfortunately, as she was running, a lighting strike came in from the maids hand, to try to stop her, after a second of silence it appeared she was defeated "a shame, and here I thought the hero was meant to care for his friends" she said, not realising lucy was already running away as she made herself invisible before the attack striked

Meanwhile, the other adventurer girl, Naomi, seemed relatively undisturbed by the promise that her friend was blasted to bits... though she did have to play up the act a little to fool the maid for just a bit longer "You...!" She gritted her teeth, conjuring two fireballs in her hands and launching them towards her "Blow into bits!"

the fight ensued, unfortunately it couldn't be seen as we took a focus on lucy, taking a moment to prepare herself as she was in front of the door to where the demon lord should recide, hopping she was ready, she opens the door to enter and prepare for the fight

Inside the large hall, while Naomi fought off the other servant, the Demon Lord sat on her throne, a large scepter in her hands. With her silvery white hair, she slowly stood up as she looked at the approaching challenger, a gleam in her eyes "So, do you really think you'll be the one to stop me?"

(dw I won't lie, I was a bit worried you just ditched me, but happy to hear back from you)

lucy looked scared as she saw the demon lord face to face "m-maybe notm, but I can make sure naomi can beat you after she comes" she says, quickly making 4 orbs, one of each element, as she quickly shoots the demon lord with them

Laughing, the Demon Lord simply pointed her staff towards the approaching orbs, which quickly vanished into it's embedded gem "What's this? A Hero must be far stronger than that, don't you think?" She taunted her, before forming a wave of countless dark spikes that threw themselves towards her.

Though, as they've fought, something else seemed to be... happening, especially in the hall they were in. The Demon Lord noticed, though placed it off her mind in favor of the current fight.

lucy didn't seem to notice it, having to completely focus on the battle as she barely dodges the spikes, quickly trying to use a beam of light to hit the demon lord.


as the battle between naomi and the maid continued, the maid looked a bit more damaged "ugh, you're qute annoying, but still nothing but a small brat, allow me to show you" she said angry, wanting this to be over as she prepared a spell
