For thirty minutes Ruby had finished putting some things away in her new room. She had put away her clothes by hanging them in the closet ,and organizing all the stuff animals by putting then in the left corner of the room. "OK that's enough for now it's time for a break" she nodded, and headed out the room and down stairs.

As she was heading down Ruby saw a scroll on the counter by the door. Ruby quickly checked her pockets frantically and realized that it was hers. 'Oh crap' she thought and went and grabbed it putting it in her pocket. 'It was locked so everything fine...but still' she thought.

Then her nose picked up a familiar scent so she followed it finding the kitchen and cinder putting a plate on the table it had her favorites, chicken tenders, macaroni and mashed potatoes. "That smells good Ms fall" she went and took a seat. 'I feel like I'm a toddler first the my little pony posters now a lunch meant for five year Olds I wish I could slop into my heads pace' Ruby whined in her thoughts.

"I finished unpacking most of my stuff, but I decided to take a break oh and Ms fall why is there my little pony posters in my room... I don't mind them but I'm fifteen not a baby" 'but I wish I was at this moment because I can't let her know that my little pony is my favorite' she thought sadly cinder will get rid of them now. "Do you baby sit?"

"Oh thank you dear," Cinder says as she sets the food out on the table. "I confess it was just some simple things I had on hand since I haven't figured out your tastes yet. I hope it will do for lunch." Once again this was a lie, as Cinder was well aware of Ruby's tastes from her research, which combined with her newfound goal meant that she was well stocked on the sorts of food a girl Ruby's "age" would love.

As she's serving her, Cinder hears Ruby's question about the posters, her expression giving away no signs to the younger girl.

"Oh those? Well I thought that room looked a little bare so I grabbed some random posters when I was out shopping," Cinder says with a shrug, before serving herself and sitting down. "I didn't exactly pay attention to what was on them, but I thought their colorfulness was charming. You're free to take them down if you'd want." Cinder says with a shrug as she starts eating. This food isn't exactly her preference, but it's high quality enough for her to eat it as she plays along.

Ruby only nodded as she felt relieved as the girl thought cinder knew her secret which would of been a disaster and down right humiliating. ' 'I don't think she looked at my scroll, but still' she thought as she looked at the woman eyes and her body subconsciously shivered. But she couldn't lose her nerves. So she ate a few chicken nuggets.

The girl might be fifteen but she wasn't dumb for some reason she felt the need to keep her guard up especially around cinder. "That makes sense I guess" ruby scratched her head out of embarrassment. "To be honest I used to watch my little pony until I turned twelve" she lied easily. "I thought you had a babysitting job or something and room was a nursery"

She took a bite of her macaroni and swallowed "Anyways what do you teach here at beacon?" Ruby squirmed as her imagination went wild thinking cinder will teach her basic things, such as ABC"s or numbers just to make her feel like a baby.

"Babysitting? Well I admit it sounds like it might be a fun way to earn some extra money, but I'm far too busy and satisfied with my current position to think of such things," Cinder replies with a shrug. Even if she hadn't known as much as she did about Ruby, she has no trouble seeing right through ever lie the girl says as she has a pretty weak poker face. Of course this is making her seem even more adorable to Cinder.

"Oh I'm the lead semblance instructor," Cinder replies to Ruby's question. "My course aids you and your fellow students in honing and practicing with your semblances. It's quite rudimentary for the most part if I'm being honest, though I do have some fun electives as well." She says with a sly smile.

Once lunch is finished, Cinder clears the dishes and sits down across from Ruby, her hands folded.

"Now then, Miss Rose," Cinder says, in a practiced tone that is both charming and a stricter undertone. "Now that you've unpacked and eaten, I think it would be best if we talked a little about our arrangement. After all, Professor Ozpin has trusted me to watch over you until you are old enough to join the rest of the students. As such, there are a few rules I'm going to have to ask you to follow."

Ruby nodded satisfied with cinders answer. 'But she got those my little pony posters for me after all, I know I'm still a child in some people eyes but not a baby' she thought while looking around for a moment then focused on cinder who started cleaning once they were finished eating.

"A semblance instructor that's cool, I have the ability of speed which can be quite useful sometimes" the girl stood up and activated her semblance and quickly appeared behind cinder and tapped the woman on the shoulder then went back to her seat leaving behind rose petals.

"See so if you need me to run an errand or anything can get it done almost immediately" Ruby smiled but then raised an eyebrow which confused her. "Okay? Umm.. what kind of rules?"

Cinder catches one of the petals in her fingers and gives Ruby an impressed smirk.

"Oh yes I read your file, honestly it's quite impressive the amount of control you have over your semblance already," She says sincerely as she flicks the petal into the air. She was impressed by Ruby's skill and potential, but it's not like she wanted to stifle her growth as a huntress, she just also wanted to train her in some...alternative skills.

"Well first and foremost I need you to understand that until you reach the age to join the other students in the dorms your conduct, safety, and health are my responsibility. As such the first rule is that I expect you to keep me informed of where you are or where you go at all times. Particularly if you decide to leave campus," Cinder says, her tone firm but still gentle.

Ruby eyes sparkled with joy as she was used to receiving compliments from her family so hearing it from someone else, is quite a nice change. "Thank you Ms Fall, that means a lot to me" she chuckled. "I worked really hard to get where I am now, and now I'm a step closer to becoming a Huntress like my mom" she let out a sigh as everytime she brings up her mother she get depressed.

Ruby took a deep breath and released it. "Sorry it's just that my mom is a sensitive subject for me Ms fall anyways I may be good with my semblance and using crescent rose which is my weapon I've created when I was attending signal academy however, my hand to hand combat skills are practically none existent"

Ruby rolled her eyes. "My sister Yang xio long tried teaching me at some point says I'm ok at it but I think she I'd just being nice to me"

Cinder smirks at the girls rambling, but also takes special note of Ruby's comment about her mother. Between her short attention span and clear lingering desire for a mother figure in her life, this was almost going to be too easy. A part of Cinder was tempted to just take her upstairs and diaper her right now...but where's the fun in that.

"Ahem," Cinder says, reaching over the table and laying a single finger on Ruby's lips to silence her. "I do appreciate you being willing to share these things with me, my dear. But let's stay focused on the house rules for now, all right? Now can you repeat the rule that I just told you?"
