Rick and Morty has just returned from a very intense adventure, both of them worn out and sore, and poor Morty injured. Seeing his precious Grandson in this state, Something in Rick snapped or changed. "Hey kiddo... Let's get you cleaned up, and in bed. You are gonna be down for a bit recovering." Rick said, in between panting.

Morty was so exhausted. He was also panting feeling like he could barely stand. The injury wasn't anything major but it still was a hurting a goof bit. Nonetheless he gave Rick a nod and moved, slowly, towards his room to do so by himself.

Morty didn't make it very far before Rick scooped him up. He instinctively sat Morty on his hip and held him firmly. "I got you, kiddo." He said softly. Despite being sore and hurting as well, Rick still pushed himself to do this for Morty. He carried him to the bathroom and grabbed a towel. Thankfully he efficiently cleaned Morty up and patched him up as best as he could. Once he was extra clean and dry, Rick simply grabbed one of his shirts and put it on Morty.

Morty of course hadn't expected any help from his grandpa and let out a small noise of surprise when the older man picked him up easily and started carrying him. Then again he was too tired to really protest or care so he just let it happen. He wanted to sleep so badly he almost fell asleep multiple times during the cleaning. He was so tired he didn't even notice Rick put him in one of his own shirts.
