The most Unconventional Cosplay

Daniel smiled as he got his costume together, he worked fulltime at an office job and never took time off for himself but that changed now! Daniel took a full week off of work for this, his first ever convention. The Ultimate Fest, was the convention's name, it was planned to have tons of voice actors, writers, game developers, and most importantly cosplayers! Daniel was a huge fan of the anime Ragnarök of Romance, a strange mix of high stakes battle anime and beautiful and compelling love stories. Daniel was a rather thin man, mainly because he had failed to take decent care of himself, so that left him with only 1 character he could truly cosplay. It was embarrassing to say the least but when he finally got it together he couldn't have been happier. He had chosen to cosplay Debole Bambola, a gothic lolita who was a fully conscious porcelain doll, she was stoic in her expressions and cold, robotic almost, which made her a fan favorite as everyone had their own fan au's of her becoming warmer and happier, more human with their chosen partner for her. Daniel suited up and smiled in the mirror, before heading out to the convention, waiting to find his friend.

The crowd was so large when he finally arrived, that he could hardly get around. So many people that walked about, talking about things, showing off their costumes or even just messing around a bit. It was such a huge and intimidating place in hindsight, but it was hard to not get caught up in the excitement of it all. A few people that cosplayed as various other characters from Ragnarök of Romance even seemed to be there, with them giving a wave to Daniel. But soon enough, he could vaguely make out the look of his friend that he was looking for, dressed up as a character most commonly paired up with Debole by fans of the series. Dressed up in a long, elegant and gothic dress, wearing all the proper accessories and even sitting underneath a personal handheld parasol, there she was. One of his best friends Stella, all dressed up to look just like Lunaris Madrina, the elegant gothic witch that most seemed to love nearly as much as the Lolita doll.

Daniel waved to her giggling, hoping she recognized him, he had kept the character he was cosplaying a secret as he wanted to surprise her. Daniel knew how much Stella adored Debole and wanted to surprise her with her favorite costume, gently he tugged at his skirt to make sure it absolutely covered the panties he was wearing. Once Stella was close enough he walked up, the most inaccurate thing about his cosplay was that he was towering above Stella, which was typically was the opposite in the show. "Hey Stella! surprise! how do you like it? I tried to get her as accurate as I could" He explained spinning around once, to show her the whole thing.

As Stella waved at the cosplayer whom she didn't know was her friend, she felt her heart racing a bit. Debole was her favorite, absolutely. She always loved her ever since she was teased, let alone first properly introduced. She actually wanted to cosplay as them so badly, but felt that she herself didn't really fit her body proportions or look, even if she was closer to them than she thought. So, she did settle for her other favorite character, which she personally shipped with Debole. But she was soon surprised as she saw them not only tower over her, but heard a more masculine voice escape as they talked. "Wait...Daniel...? H-Holy...you look amazing!"

Daniel couldn't help but chuckled as she admired his costume and smiled. "I'm glad! I spent hours outside of work making sure it was as accurate as I could get, how did I do?" He asked taking her hand and moving to a more private area. Since they were going over details it would be best to be in a private area since they clearly were gonna go over even little one. He got the amount of cracks and locations just about right, and the color of her porcelain skin just right. The dress was the exact length and had even the exact amount of details for the lace, and her wig was plum perfect! Just about everything was great

(Idea, the one detail he got wrong is that it's canon Debole wears diapers, it's just hard to see throughout the show and mentioned only once or twice)

Stella walked over with Daniel to a specific spot, amazed and analyzing each and every aspect of the outfit. She couldn't help but fawn over it, finding it so perfect and accurate, she could honestly mistake her best friend for Debole if it wasn't for the height difference. But then she looked up at him and then decided to try and ask the big question. "I'm assuming that even means with your undergarments, right...? A lot of people usually seem to forget that part about Debole's outfit, e-even though it's one of the more subtle and kind of cute things about her when it comes to her story..."

Daniel tilted his head confused, he had just gotten lace gothic lingerie to wear but from how Stella sounded that didn't seem right. "I don't think so? what am I missing?" he asked making sure no one was nearby to see before pulling the dress up. While it was embarrassing a bit, the two had known each other for years and had seen each other in much more embarrassing situations that this meant nothing to Daniel. He hadn't even a centimeter of padding to his bottom, and the design of the lace panties weren't even close to the design on Debole's diaper! clearly they had to find somewhere to fix this error.

Stella looked at it and sighed a bit, knowing that they needed to fix this problem. And she did technically have a solution in her bag with her, but wanted to stay quiet. "Didn't you know...? The creators confirmed it in a Q&A in the manga, but it's also been shown in the show as well. Debole...well...she uh...wears...diapers." She still found it a bit strange to say that, but could only really try and act casual about it as she revealed that fact to Daniel. It was definitely shocking, but she soon pulled out her phone and handed him it, with the interview in question being right there on the screen.

'Seeing that Debole was made of Porcelain, and we had established her early on as being very weak, a literal glass canon, we decided that she'd wear diapers. This way we could explain why she could sit anywhere safely without developing new cracks, or breaking apart, a Diaper with a special magic seal on it to absorb impacts. It was meant to just be a funny inside joke, but when the action took it up a notch we had a few shots of her undergarments that needed to be drawn and so we went with that'

The interview explained as Daniel blushed a bit. "I-I see...well it's a very cute detail but uh...I don't really have any...besides who makes them big enough for me right?" He asked nervously. He was annoyed that he didn't get the costume completely right but was more so embarrassed that he accidentally saved himself some dignity. Besides they'd have to find some in his size with her special seal on it, no way those actually existed!

Stella seemed a bit unsure of what to do, before awkwardly fumbling and reaching into her bag. Soon enough, she pulled out something, and...hey, was that the diaper that Debole wore? It looked very large, and quite inline with the shots that were seen before. It seemed strange that she had this on her, before she at least spoke up, albeit a bit nervous. "Well...there was a stand that was selling some of the more obscure stuff that we see in the anime and manga, and that included Debole's padding. I bought a few of them...a-admittedly I wanted to try wearing them too in case I wanted to try cosplaying Debole too. But, I can at least let you use one for a while...!"
