"I'll do it!" Mali springs up, before shrinking back a bit from a look from Suki as she remembers that they shouldn't be doting on Toph like a baby. "I mean, do you think I should at least see if she wants help or would that be too much?" She asks Suki.
"Give it a shot," Suki nods. She knew Toph would need help, but was trying to smooth things over as much as possible now. "Just tell her that we don't want her food to get any colder."
Mali nods and walks into the dome.
"Excuse me, sister?" She says, locating Toph. She (thankfully) is able to stifle a chuckle as at this point it's just Toph in nothing but her diaper fumbling with the uniform, looking every bit the toddler that Mali needs to not treat her as. "Dinner's getting cold. Would you like some help? Our uniforms can be a bit tricky to put on yourself for the first time."
As she's doing this, the others have sat around the first and started to eat.
"So how exactly did things go with the manor staff?" Suki asks.
"Not great," Hita said with a shrug. "We gave them the whole "for the good of the entire world" speech like you said, but they weren't having it. Gave us a lot of lines about how Toph couldn't survive in the outside world. So, we just tied them all up and put them in the storeroom."
"I see," Suki sighs and shakes her head. Again, she wasn't crazy about the Kyoshi warriors getting a reputation for imprisoning households full of earth kingdom citizens, but they were on a deadline to meet Aang. "I trust they'll be able to get out?"
"It'll be fine Suki," Nura speaks up. "We swung by a tea shop on the way out. Paid the owner to swing by the storehouse around two hours after we left. He's probably freeing them right now."
"Good," Suki nods. "Come nightfall I'll sneak by just to make sure they're all okay."
"Well the good news is they didn't really fight us, mostly," Kiya adds. "Most of the maids just immediately put up their hands and let us bind them. Was really just two male attendants that were honestly very obnoxious."
"Yeah, felt good to rough them up," Hita grunts, remembering a few sexist comments from that pair.
