possible future?
I've been playing Anarchy Reigns lately and got to thinking. could a day come were people can enhance the bodies with cybernetics and metal skeletons like in Anarchy Reigns or say Ghost In the shell? and if so would you do it?

Anything is possible in the future. For me, it would depend on what kind of maintenance would be needed for the parts/enhancements.

Maybe, titanium is compatible with bones. I think they'll find a way, probably

It depends upon how society looks at the alterations. I mean it could be like Naruto, its supposed to be helpful but instead he was shunned by all

It's entirely possible. Given the advancements made in prosthetics over the years it seems more likely than not. We've already developed a bionic eye.

I wouldn't want to as much as living immortal sounds interesting I wouldn't wanna be immortal if I can't be a kid again even if that means being an android. If anything I would like to be like shadow if I became an android lol XD

Well being a man of science.....Yes it can be done, but it is about 1,000-2,000 years away from us, but i would not try it myself.

Agreed I'd only go for some of it if for some reason they haven't found a sound reasonable way to regrow/make living limbs/other body parts and easy attached to replace the old one Anyway for a example say I lost a arm and its simpler maybe even quicker to get a robotic one I'd say yes to it but I won't become a almost complete machine

So yeah, titanium works, because our bodies don't reject it like other metals, but we can't replace entire bones yet. bones are living constantly changing things so to replace say, one femur, we would have to machine it out, cut it apart, insert marrow, drill out holes for the circulatory system, reseal up the "bone' without causing tissue damage, and then connect muscle to the new "bone" with out old real bone to attach to.
honestly it's overly expensive and would be pretty dang painful in the long run because now you'd also need to have the joints at the patella and the pelvic girdle replaced. which cause pain from movement, or cold.
No personally I would much rather keep my bones.
