In character rules
Basic in-character rules:
These are the rules that will appear in your child's rule book. they are subject to change, and will be updated frequently.
These rules you will follow 'in character' or your character will be punished.
At home:
Use common sense: If something is obviously dangerous, don't do it. Don't throw things around the house, don't run around like a wild animal. Be aware of each other's safety.
No PDA: Whatever your love interest, keep the face sucking and dry humping off the livingroom sofa, and out of the way of innocent little eyes. Teens who can't control themselves will be punished accordingly.
Drugs: Not any. No acceptions. No warnings. You get caught with cigarettes, alcohol, or worse, you're getting punished. Bottom line. (no pun intended) Some trustworthy teens may be allowed a drink or two with supervision from adults within the house.
Respect and manners: Use them. Disrespect or mouthing off is grounds for punishment, and adults will not hesitate to deal with a loud mouthed brat who can't show them any respect. This also means respecting your siblings and friends and treating them well.
Bullying: Don't do it. We find out you're picking on someone maliciously, and there is a heafty price to pay. (See out of player rules for what extent this can be played.)
Fighting: Do not do it. Any child seen striking another person, whether it be with their hand, or an object, will be in trouble, no acceptions. There will always be an adult within earshot to come and help you. Fighting back isn't an innocent act. Use your words.
Weapons: Will be confiscated upon entry. You can earn swords, knives, or whatever your precious collectable might be once you're deemed trustworthy.
Phones: Keep your phone on, charged, and with you at all times. (every kid receives one upon entry. )
Chores: Are to be done before videogames, or television.
Homework: To be finished no later than 7pm. 9pm on weekends.
Computers: laptops are a privilege and can be taken away, even if you save up for it yourself. If you came here with one, you will trusted at first, but understand that it can be taken away.
The library computers do not have administrator privileges. Everyone has a unique account with password.
Kids 10 and under: 1.5 hours of computer time a day, when not studying.
Older kids: time isn't exactly limited, but if an adult feels your life is becoming based around your computer, it may be monitored.
Swearing: Don't do it.
Lying: Don't do it.
Peircings and tattoos: These can only happen with Alistair and/or Andy's approval. No acceptions. Don't even think about a tattoo until you're 16. Ear peircings are fine at any age.
Other peircings: We'll talk.
At School:
Delinquency: Get in trouble at school, you'll have trouble at home. This is worse than it sounds.
Grades: Must be at least 70% or higher. If you have trouble, come to an adult for help. The only acceptions are for those who are being tutored and have proven they are trying their hardest. This is not easy to fake, kids.
Truancy: Don't do it.
Teens: Taking easy classes to get easy A's is frowned upon. We would rather have you get a C in class and be learning something, than get an A and get no benefit.
