Cerulean gave a kind smile and maid sure not to get any closer. It was likely intimidating enough that she had Rias so close. She took note of the familiar looking girl being so shy. "That certainly makes sense.. but I must ask, do you recognize me at all..my name is Cerulean.. and I think I might know you from somewhere." She stated as she smiled for the girl curious if she thought the same thing that she did. She decided to leave out the other details and how they thought it was unsafe to be in this area. "Hmm do you think you'd like to talk somewhere else..?" She asked feeling more and more like she wasn't safe in this street. She squeezed Rias' arm in a way of telling her this. Akeno looked over to Koneko and huffed a little. "I don't like this.. what are we feeling.. it doesn't seem to be from her.."

The girl's eyes widen as the name Cerulean brings back a plethora of childhood memories. "Ceru? Is that you?" She asks, using the girl's childhood nickname. Showing that she did indeed remember. "Its me, Lira." She says looking rather excited. "Oh... I guess I can talk somewhere el-" The girl's sentence is cut off by an evil sounding laugh as a fallen angel falls from the sky, Impaling Lira through the heart with his excessively long sword from above and behind. (Picture the way Sephiroth killed Aerith in FFVII)

Cerulean blinked and smiled hearing her childhood name. She looked a little glazed over as her own childhood memories came back to her mind in full. "Wow.. Lira.. that's right.. it's so good to see you again.. after we.. moved away.." She covered not saying where her family really went. Her father at the time had decided it would be best for her to be raised and educated in the underworld rather than amongst the humans. She was overjoyed to be reunited with her long lost friend. "Oh Lira.. It's all come back to me now. Sure let's go to....." She was cut off by the same thing that distracted Lira. She was in too much shock by her re awakened memory to react in time. Rias was blocked by Cerulean or she would have done something. In an instant she rushed the angel and pulled him off of her and the sword with it. This left Cerulean and the other's open to attack, but cerulean was in too much shock to move. Her poor innocent mortal friend had just been impaired surely enough to end her short life. "NO!!! LIRA!!!"she cried out and sobbed as she rushed over sending a blast of her strong ice magic at the fallen angel. Rias gave a fierce look and stared off with the fallen one after he'd been dealt a few hits. "Why have you done this.. what is your intent!.." She demanded showing her mark. Akeno just watched from a distance in shock that they'd been unable to protect the small girl. Cerulean placed her magic over the wound but she didn't posses any abilities of healing She cried and hugged her friend. It was as if she were losing her family all over again. "Lira.. can you hear me.. hang in there..." she called out with tears in her eyes. Akeno ran over with Koneko to guard them while Rias stood off with the assailant.

The Fallen flies off of Lira, taking his blade with him. As the sword is removed, a large spray of blood erupts from lira's chest. The fallen angel, a little stunned from Cerulean's tackle, isn't able to move in time to dodge the ice, so he takes a couple of hits from it. The angel laughs bitterly before replying to Rias. "My intent you ask? Why, its quite simple. I wanted this one to suffer." The angel says, pointing at Cerulean. As this occurs Cerulean would notice Lira whisper the words. "Ceru... I-" Before passing away, the light leaving her eyes, leaving her eyes open, staring glassily up into the night sky.

Cerulean freezes the blood but stops realizing this was a horrible idea. She started to cry a little as she watched her friends life end. "No.. Lira..I.. , but why.. you all feared me the most.. you brutally murdered my family.. what more do you want from me..!" Cerulean practically spat fire as she unfurled her wings and lifted up the Fallen Angel's level. "You locked me away because you feared me.. I'm going to show you why you were right!" She stated as her eyes lit with pure white hot vengeance and her sword materialized in her hands from thin air. "Rias.. hit him!" she stated and she nodded pulling up a circle on the Angel and letting him have a strong blast of her own dark magic. Then Cerulean screamed out in pure hatred as several of her own circles appeared around him and cast white demons out charging at him before she flew at him full force with her sword and hit him right in the chest moving at light speed before he could react. Then she pinned him to the ground knocking his sword from his hand and placing her blade on his throat. "Why.. ?.. why her.. ? Do you have any words you retched filth..!"

Once the angel is disarmed, he laughs hysterically before spitting in Cerulean's face as an answer. The angel obviously has nothing more to say to them.

Cerulean growled and froze the spit letting it fall gracefully from her face before running the sword though his throat and skull. "You make me sick.. " Rias finished it off banishing him into oblivion and from existence in her usual style. Cerulean stumbled a little and retracted her wings. It seemed the fight had taken most of what she had left in her for the day. Though she still went back to the remains of her lifeless friend. "Can't we get your healer here.. I've heard she's incredible.." Cerulean stated with blind hope, but Rias frowned and shook her head. "I'm sorry Cerulean that isn't going to fix her.. you know the only way.." She stated knowing full well that Cerulean understood what she meant. Cerulean frowned and held her friends corpse tightly. "Please Rias.. I know you don't like to pull them back after death.. but it just wasn't her time please.." She begged and sobbed a little. "I don't have any new pieces to use and I've never been good at resurrections.. If you take her in I'll teach her everything. She'll be my responsibility.. and if she hates what we've done to extend her life.. I'll take the blame. I won't let her be mad at you.. " she stated and Rias raised a hand giving her a gentle smile and nod. "Relax.. I'll do it.. I do need another rook after all. " And with that she pulled out the piece and conjured the circle around Lira's lifeless body. "Lira here here my command.. Call back your spirit from the dark abyss and live again as my servant.. Come back to us and Ceru." She added with a little smile as she placed the piece on Lira's wound, It sunk in and healed the flesh like molten metal filling a gap. Within a few moments she glowed and then it stopped. She would soon awaken, reborn a devil. Cerulean wiped the tears from her eyes. If she wasn't eternally grateful to Rias, she certainly was now.

Lira's eyes seem to regain their former luster all of a sudden as Lira begins breathing again, coughing wracks her body as she struggles to take in air. After a few moments the girl's coughing stops. "W.. What h-happened? D-Did I fall asleep?" Lira asks, stuttering a bit nervously as she sits upright. The girl then blushes brightly as she realizes that her panties and skirt are soaked with urine. Likely caused by the shock and pain of being stabbed. Tears of embarrassment would begin to fall from the girl's eyes, feeling ashamed that she had wet herself in public like a child.

Cerulean's face brightened considerably at seeing the life return to her long lost friend. She quickly rushed over to Lira's side and gently picked her up, placing her on the bench. She hugged her tightly and placed a gentle kiss on her cheek. "I'm so glad you're back with us.. but I'm so sorry.. I've done something selfish Lira.." She stated in a slightly somber tone and sat down next to the girl. Rias simply stood by not saying a word and letting Cerulean collect her thoughts and answer the girl's questions. "Well.. no.. you didn't exactly fall asleep.. you were mortally wounded by a fallen angel.. " She stated wondering if her friend remembered what had happened. She took note of her soiled stated and her tears and gently wiped them away. "sh sh.. it's okay.. don't be embarrassed.. " She soothed as she thought her next words out carefully. "Lira.. you died.. I asked Rias here to bring you back.. All those years ago when we were kids. Well I was a devil and we didn't move away.. we went to our home in the underworld for a while.. " She paused looking to see how her friend was taking the news. "And well.. when she reincarnated you.. you became a devil too.. it was the only way and I wasn't ready to let you go.. I'm so sorry.. I know you didn't ask for this.."

Lira looks surprised by Cerulean's kissing of her cheek. She would listen to Cerulean's answer before interrupting her with. "Wait what? A fallen angel?" Lira says, looking like she thinks Cerulean was slightly crazy as the girl wipes her tears away. "I... I died? And you were a devil?!" Lira asks, looking both surprised and confused, though its to be expected. "Me a devil? HA! Your bloody insane!" Lira exclaims scoffing in disbelief before backing away slowly. The girl looks around like she is looking for an escape route.
