Korra had listened patiently and with as much interest as she could. The idea of a huge train system was... sort of cool to her, the side effects of economic growth and whatnot were... far less interesting. Part of her knew she needed to care more about the global situation, but what was she supposed to do other than be polite. Her eyes did linger on Asami almost the entire time, she seemed so... passionate about this. Something to keep in mind for later, though she hoped Asami would still be understanding if Korra wasn't as gung ho.
After dinner, Korra felt the normal pang of having eaten too much, but was filled with strength once more... at least for another few hours or so. "Oh uhh... yeah..." Korra blushed, rubbing the back of her hair before looking back at Pema and Asami. It made sense though, it'd give both of them a chance to get more comfortable around one another during changes. "Thanks Asami, that'll help a lot." She smiled, waiting until Pema had left the two of them to stop Bolin and Ikki from bickering, "Hey, Asami?..." She reached over tenatively, "thank you... really." She blushed, a small smile showing before Korra let go. "So umm... are you heading back with the other two tonight?" Korra wasn't sure how long she had before bed, Pema had been keeping her on a regular sleep schedule ever since first getting back.

"You're welcome Korra." Asami said as she squeezed her friend's hand in return. "I wasn't planning on it originally, but I think I'll stay here for the night. I haven't been sleeping so well at home since everything's getting so busy, but maybe it'll be good to sleep somewhere peaceful for once." she explained with a warm smile, "Besides, we can have a girl's night together. That sounds fun, doesn't it?"
Pema soon came back, having separated the "children" in order to stop the bickering, and heard their plans which she whole heartedly supported. Going around she gathered up everything Asami would need for the guest room as well as having the acolytes find her some pajamas to wear.

Korra smiled, "Yeah... that'd be good." She was hesitant to ask why the troubles at the moment, but when they were alone again it might be something... "It's definitely peaceful here, once everyone starts going to bed." Korra managed a quick smirk. She'd been having trouble sleeping herself recently, lots of flashbacks and nightmares wake her up in a sweaty mess and unable to get back to sleep. Hopefully she would be able to keep it under control tonight.
After seeing the boys off, and excusing herself from the rest of the family, she headed towards her room for a bit. It wouldn't take long for the others to find what Asami would need for the night, so she waited in the hallway for a few minutes. She smiled at Pema when she came by, rolling along beside her temporarily, "Thank you, Pema... for letting Asami stay the night." Korra rubbed the back of her head as she turned around before quickly getting out of her way. She then went back to her room to get out of the way, wondering what Asami had planned for a 'girls night.' Which didn't end up being too hard, as she found Asami again on her way back, "Soo... what were you planning?"

Asami showed up in the bright yellow and orange pajamas the Air Bender acolytes had given her, an outfit which he took more out of politeness than actual want. As with most of the day nomadic peoples close the material was late and bag, and while it was by no means uncomfortable it certainly wasn't the girl's usual style. Walking over to Korra in it she blushed bashfully and gestured to the outfit before playfully asking "So, what do you think?"
She walked next to a rolling Korra towards her bedroom and thought for a moment before saying "Well I was hoping we'd catch up. We haven't really talked between Jinora's ceremony and now. Then I figured we could embrace our inner teenage girls and gossip while we play some slumber party games." Asami smiled with that last part and gave a childish face before following her friend into her room.

Korra gave a quick smirk, "You look great, a natural Air Acolyte. It accentuates your... legs?" She offered, looking back up at Asami's face with her cheeks a slight pink. Asami really didn't look bad or anything in it... just Korra didn't know how to properly explain it. Wearing the more comfy clothes was something she was beginning to pick up on, and the brighter colors did seem to make Asami's face shine more... or at least it seemed to be prettier somehow...
Korra shook her head, "Oh uhh... yeah... It has been a while..." She rubbed the back of her hair awkwardly as she looked away for a moment. It wasn't that she didn't want to talk to Asami, she hadn't done anything to deserve that... just... she felt like she couldn't talk to anyone about this. Taking a deep breath, she rubbed her eyes before looking back at Asami, "I'm sorry about that, Asami. But that sounds like it could be fun, and.... I'm all for that at this point." She gave a small chuckle before wheeling herself next to the bed so Asami could sit on it and they could chat easier. This would be fairly new to Korra, she had been locked out for most of her childhood, apparently to protect her from the Red Lotus, and sleepovers hadn't really ever happened between her and other girls....
